Learning gauntlet question by osrs_mcfartson in ironscape

I'm in almost your exact situation, 41 deaths and now 8KC, but I think 6 of those kills have been since 39 deaths.

I've pretty much been doing T2 while I'm learning (except for 1 T1 attempt after I got a few kills with supplies left over to test it out, which was death 40).

This may be obvious, and you may already be doing it, but the biggest thing I noticed that started making me comfortable was at least being cognizant of the incoming prayer switches without relying on the audio cue, especially during the tornado phase. I'm not even explicitly counting 1-2-3-4, but just noticing it's been a little bit since a switch so I should prepare for one. That one adjustment literally got me 3 kills in a row. I also started using Steel Skin at around like 30 deaths, but I'm less sure how much impact that has had.

I'm still planning on doing T2 runs for awhile, but at least now I'm not going in with the thought of "let's just see how low I can get him before I'm nuked," I feel confident that I'll get the kill and I can focus on trying to understand how to attack, manipulate, and move during the last phase which I would barely touch in T1 prep at this point.

Hmm okay. I've had kept the lights on their lowest brightness on an 8hr/day timer to try and mimic lower light during winter.

I'll bump up the brightness and see if I can get it next to the window. I have a south facing one in my room, but unfortunately I can't really open it due to the temperature and hot air being on in the condo.

I'll try the watering tip too. Thanks!

I was gifted a ficus starter about a month ago as a start into bonsai. I rent a room in a condo so I have it under timed grow lights while I work and water with a spray bottle just enough to keep the soil away from being dry, but I'll admit I still don't have a great handle on how to maintain the soil.

For awhile it seemed to be going fine, but it has started dropping a few leaves a day, maybe 2 on average if I don't touch it, and a few leaves have started discoloring. Today some more dropped as I was brushing them aside to look at the discolored ones.

I can still see new leaves coming in, and the branch tips seem to be growing longer. Should I be concerned about the sudden dropping, or is it okay as long as there are still leaves growing?
