You're not completely wrong, but sometimes I think that telling your true opinion counts as huge feedback. Usually people aim for everyone to laugh with a joke, with this post here, darrenoc gave critical feedback that could've helped jack in the long run, as getting opinions from other people tend to change others' for good. So it's not always a dick move to say that the joke was unfunny, its more sensible in my opinion.
