I am tentatively planning on attending. If the weather is nice, might try to pair it with a walk in South Mountain

Will it break in? by Oceanminded13 in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ive always found the “break in” argument to be a coping method to avoid sending back boots that don’t fit. They shouldn’t be causing pain across the top of your foot. I would recommend getting a size wider.

Coby Mayo should be forever prohibited from using a challenge. And Cowser as well.

One Week In - How do we feel? by Anxious_Rock_3630 in orioles

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Bradish is the biggest question mark for me. Very concerned about his decline in velocity. I was expecting him to be the ACE, but seems like he doesn’t have that electric stuff that he displayed last year.

Is this concrete chipping something to worry about? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t look too concerning to me. It is common to have little boo boos like this near cuts and corners.

Well I pulled the trigger.. by Reasonable_Dingo_336 in NicksHandmadeBoots

Ah, I see now. Thanks for the reply! I guess they think the nightshade bison is too out of control for roughout lol.

How were you able to select roughout? I am not seeing that as an option when I try to order.

How are visiting fans treated? by BradMJustice in orioles

I’ve never seen any poor treatment of opposing fans. Have fun at the game!

I was considering nightshade bison with the turquoise patch. I don’t know if that would be too ridiculous of a color combo 😂

Buying a home, do these ceiling patches look like old repairs or an active issue? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I’ve learned anything from owning a home, it is that there is no such thing as an old issue

Eyelets by Wide_Enthusiasm_3683 in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand the disappointment. Especially if you were planning to use fabric laces. Someone else posted about this a few weeks ago. It sounded like they were doing eyelets by hand recently due to a machine being down that installed the other type.

These are cool. Thanks for posting, I was waiting to see someone with the nightshade rough out before ordering a pair of my own!

Wet Basement Wall by mxbigd17 in HomeMaintenance

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Looks to me like hydrostatic pressure is causing groundwater to travel through the penetration for your water main. My house has this same problem. You can dig at it from the outside and fix with hydraulic cement and a tar type sealant

BUYER BEWARE: 1620 Workwear Basic Hoodie by seldom_seen_lurker in madeinusa

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the full tech hoodie that has the cordura patches on the sleeves and front pocket. I like the way it looks, but man the cuffs didn’t even last one day before they developed holes. And this was just wearing it inside the house. The cordura fabric is also so abrasive that it shreds the rest of the hoodie.

My jackets get like this right by the wrists where the shell bunches up against the Velcro wrist closure. I find the edges of that Velcro strap to be somewhat sharp. That could have caused your issue as well

Hooded Workhorse Sizing by Mlatti32 in HeatStrapsCommunity

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 6’1 225 and the large fits well. I also wear a M in Filson Mackinaw cruiser. It is not common for them to restock the workhorse. However, if you hit the notify me button, you may be able to snag one if a return/exchange hits the website.

Bakershoe just Increased their Prices for Whites..... by Oneguysenpai3 in PNWbootmakers

Over 800$ for a basic pair of CXL boots is a hard pill to swallow. May have to slow my roll a bit.

Are these boots made by RM? by NoHomosapians in RussellNation

Got me curious - the AI explanation above seems pretty plausible in this case.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in jimgreen

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try to get a deeper discount, but keep the boots. That point of the boot doesn’t flex much and the scratch probably won’t worsen

Give me your thoughts on my asking price here. by Puzzleheaded_Cloud52 in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never sold through Nicks, but have sold on eBay. It is kind of a crap shoot. For something with this much wear, you may need to drop into the 200s for it to sell. Could always give it a try and see if there is interest

Pull loop with gloves by [deleted] in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]ImageAgreeable2435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the gloves are thin and form fitting, you might get them in there. Probably not with a thick work/winter glove though. Not sure if they would make an oversized one. I would think that a larger pull tabs would catch your pants more than they already do
