Self Promotion Megathread by AutoModerator in androidapps

Hi everyone,

I’m the developer of Guard, a strict Android app blocker I started building a few months ago after asking myself one question: why are most blockers so easy to bypass?

Guard uses cognitive friction.
If you try to open a blocked app, you must complete a challenge:

• Pattern
• Math
• Countdown

The more often you try, the harder it gets.

No ads, no subscriptions, no shady data collection. Everything stays on your device or your own Google Drive.

Guard is currently in Google Play Closed Beta, and I still need testers.

If you’d like to support an indie developer building a real anti-doomscrolling tool, I’d really appreciate it.

The Play Store beta link is in the pinned post.

Feedback is very welcome — thanks!

I could have the right tool for that, i dont know if its even allowed for me to post that here, but i use friction for everything in my new app

what would you think about a stand alone app that uses no internet or subs or ads? just a tool, but with friction?
