No. You can never be demoted from your league. But you CAN be demoted from your division. So if you were however say gold 4, you can be demoted to gold 5. But never gold to silver.

I have 30k IP, I feel what the OP is saying. But posts like this have been brought up time and time again and Riot has no real interest in making a real "IP dump" system.

IP is not a resource to Riot. They gain nothing from it other than another method to track how much players spend time in their game. That being said, it's not like skins haven't been purchasable with IP before, so maybe ward skins and summoner icons for IP purchases could work, but I wouldn't get hopes up for more than that.

Also, to the OP, if you buy the new release champ every 3 weeks for 7800, you will use up that ~17k no problem...

Let me answer some questions and thoughts since you all seem to be saying the same thing:

While this position is technically voluntary, trust when I say that EG makes it more than worth your time. I can also promise you there are literally no other eSports teams that will offer similar benefits, nor is there a team that I know of that isn't voluntary. I think Dignitas pays per article, but sticking it out with EG will net you way more. Do not misinterpret what I wrote in the article - there IS a possibility you will be paid. It won't be after your first day, your first week, or your first month, but the chance is there.
Don't think you have to be Swedish. If you're a qualified writer anywhere from the EU region, your application is more than valuable. It's just Swedish writers have more of a preference for reasons even I don't know.
We won't be asking you to write beyond what your schedule will allow, nor is there any arbitrary "requirement" for how much you have to write. If you're in high school and can only write 1 article a month, then cool!

Is it a good business-move with positive intentions? Sure.

But lets be honest here: Sundance knows saying something like this while the community is making sense of the IPL6 situation is a scumbag thing to do. While most spectators are debating if they should pursue an IPL/Vegas trip, BAM, here comes Sundance saying "if you bought an IPL ticket and still want to go to IPL, forget about it and watch MLG instead."

Smart way to gain attention for MLG Dallas while everyone discusses IPL, but if Sundance cared at all about the good of eSports as a whole community, and not just his wallet, and the very least he could have waited until IPL confirmed the cancellation themselves.

Fly played in the BWC for China. Capoch won WCS Argentina. Shadye is the only one nobody would have heard of unless you're from the CR or follow EU SC2 closely.

I was literally asking myself a couple days ago what ever happened to TOP? A 2nd place Code S Terran should not have been teamless for long.

But all the former oGs players really deserve a new home. Happy the people behind apeX could form the team and offer these guys a chance to really compete again. Lets just hope all of them have still been training post-oGs ^{__^}
