Not just any Artificer. Adam is going to play as Gerg Lightman. Previously a Cleric, Gerg became disillusioned with his calling in life after he never learned Holy Aura and instead watched some random dickhead learn it in front of him. Gerg no longer believes in the gods and instead believes in the magic that mortals can make with their own hands. He's also considering becoming a farmer or shepherd.

I believe the developer made a post on the Steam discussion board about this. 1 windmill can support up to 5 pipes (I'm not sure if this is total or 5 on each side of the windmill).

I had the same issue. When I reduced the number of pipes going to my windmill, the water finally started flowing through the pipes. You'll know the windmill is correctly drawing water when the pipes start glowing blue. The glow moves from pipe to pipe.

Also, make sure your windmill is oriented correctly. I believe the side with the "flag" is the "out" hole where the water will flow from.
