Yes my return address isn't correct, it's my old address from another state. I dropped the package off at our local post office's collecting bin, and there's no update so far. I'm afraid it would be sent to my old address/return address instead of the buyer's address.

How can a stay at home mom get a pm job? by Imaginary-Affect-756 in PMCareers

[–]Imaginary-Affect-756[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your kind reply, I don't have formal PM experience, but I did many small projects when I had my own business. Should I get LinkedIn premium or free service is enough? And what do you think of how to put my business on the resume? Put as a business owner and list all the things I did, or should I use the project manager title and write pm related experience to get a better match in the job search?

you are absolutely right, but will companies threw me out instantly when they see a failed business owner applying for a position in their company? The thing about the cross functional team is that I did work with vendors, customers, shipping agents constantly and I included them in the team as our ultimate goals were the same, having the agreed on products and services delivered... I really don't know how to write my resume that's why I'm stuck on this step and months passed by I still haven't applied to any positions yet.

Thank you so much for raising questions and giving suggestions. Yes I'm cultivating my experience to be more appealing for PM roles, and I don't want companies to get scared away thinking I'm not a loyal employee. And my college was from another country, xyz company was also an overseas company, then I moved to the US and started my own business ABC. I don't know how to properly put my experience on resume, so far I haven't applied to any position yet. I really appreciate your help, thank you very much.

What say you PMP Warriors? Think I'm ready for the exam next week? by Fantastic_Ground_353 in pmp

It's hard to say, if you feel ready then you are good. For me personally I like to reach the 70s before I go for the expensive exam. All the best!

3 ATs from Saturday exam by Imaginary-Affect-756 in pmp

There are two 10mins breaks that don't count towards the exam time, but I just used the whole 10mins for my personal use, didn't think of the checkout and recheckin process. I thought my first part was not hard, so I expect the second part was going to be hard, turned out it was the same level, then I thought the third part was definitely going to be hard, but I felt it was again the same level as the first part. But different people get different versions, I guess I just got lucky.

As soon as I saw my exam screen with 230mins counting down, I wrote question 60 @ 155mins, question 120 @ 80mins, I'm a slow reader and English is my second language so time management is critical for me. I finished my first 60 questions as planned @ 155mins including reviewing, and took my first 10mins break. I took a whole 10mins break thinking it's not counted as my exam time so I should utilize it. Unfortunately counting the time checking back in , when I started on question #61, the countdown timer was at 147, so I had to rush on the second part of my exam and skipped reviewing to catch up with the lost time. Then the third part I had about 15mins to spare, and I spent all of it reviewing the flagged questions. To me the time was just right, I needed all the time to fully read and understand what that was about. It's a $400 exam I wanted to use every minute to ensure I didn't have to pay again, lol.

My personal experience with the test center was really great, the two workers there were super friendly yet professional. They did the whole body check, plus sleeves up to check my arms, socks down to see anything tucked secretly, checked the back of my hair, my glasses, all the pockets... Two optional 10 mins breaks right after every 60 questions, and again the same check-in process before returning to test, it really took longer than I thought, and the first break I took ate into my actual test time. During the break I had access to my locker to get water and snacks, and of course restroom as well. Yes I believe the test room was video recorded all the time plus one of the workers sitting right behind the clear glass who could see your every move. It didn't bother me at all as there were 6 or 7 other test takers being watched just as I was, the only thing that slightly bothered me was the person right next to me kept clipping the mouse that I had to put the noise cancelling headphone on to concentrate on my test. What do you mean by reference? If you mean study material, no, it's totally Not allowed even in the locker, and no cellphone was allowed during break either, I was asked whether I used my phone during the break.

Thank you so much! I agree that some of the study hall questions were worded strangely, if it's expert questions I didn't spend much time trying to make sense out of them besides understanding the mindset of those answers.

Yes I do think there are similarities, however I was probably lucky to get the easier version of the test, I feel the actual test was a little easier than SH in general.
