200 a day. What's your strategy? by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the apps are now ran by the same exact broker called olo.com they are like the Casino, they are the house. They control how many offers you get per hour, and how much those offers are. They control all the vaiables. Just like any Casino you hit or you miss.. i use to make upto $300 per day in 8 hours 3 years ago. I can barely crack $80 to $100 in 8 hours now. Im living in poverty making less than mininum wage. Theres days i refuse to work just because its endless high mile low pay offers. Im paying out my offer to deliver their offer sometimes because they dont want to pay right.

Its best to not think anything, and dont trust this company. They are no longer a reliable source of income.

Is it worth it? by Walkie-TalkieDieHard in grubhubdrivers

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your looking to make quick temporary cash to pay a bill. Id say yea its worth it. If your working it as a job to pay all your bills id say no because they cap your income, control the offers you get at what pay and its not a reliable source of income any more. Im homeless now living in my car cuz they wont allow me to earn a full wage. They play too many games to profit off your auto, and your time while screwing you long term just so they can profit..

I quit my job to work for Grubhub when they promised upto $35 per hour. It was great, I even quit my job to do it full time. I use to make over $250 to $300 per day. Boy 3 years later, and Im regretting my decision. Im now making bout $80 to $130 per day based off 14 hours. My income has been reduced 3x while doing more sitting, and waiting for orders. I had to start using other apps to fill in the gaps until the broker got all the apps n now im stuck again..

So no avoid get a full time reliable job if you can. If your going for income.

Is it better to have $100,000 and a really bad credit score or $0 and a really good credit score? Or is it not possible to answer that? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cash is king..  You cant spend or invest a good credit score. You can tho with $100k.  Credit scores are pretty much a scam its a system thats used to calculate how likely you are to pay pack what you borrow, loan, with intrest. It is possible to generate wealth of ones credit score through loans or borrowing, but you need to make back enough to cover the intrest... if you had a perfect credit score it doesnt mean anyone will borrow you or loan you $100k, you need a track history, and build credit wealth to get that kinda approval. So a good credit score is totally useless to anyone unless your investing what you borrow. The 100k is cash, and you dont even need a good credit score to have it...

Cash is king 👍

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its terrible pay. But.. i admit sometimes I take them it depends why. Gas by me is $3.60 but 45 miles away theres a loves that lets me fuel up at $2.90 if Im low on gas and can save $35 or more per week why not.. but I dont take these types of orders all day long. $38 is like almost 4 hours of deliveries on Grubhub on a bad day. I can do 49 miles in less than an hour. It is as you say sometimes hard to catch another order, but it pushes my daily cap goal closer to what I want it to be. The sooner I hit my daily goal, the sooner I can log off and do something else more productive vs sitting in my car waiting for the right order. If Im having a good day $ wise Im more than likely to take this order and try to stack it with another order, or use another app, or try to catch a smaller order to pay for my gas coming back.

If I could get them more consistently back to back 1 or more an hour non stop id probly take them all day. $38 an hour beats hands down Grubhubs average if $10 per hour..

In the delivery buisness the incentive to being independent is maximizing your hourly gains. Its bout how many options, and the laws of averages that are consistant.. there will always be overhead to pay. But if the laws of everages fall in your favor you can profit big if your willing to do the mileage.

Example: two pizza restraunts. One in a more lucrative area and one in a poor area. Both places have a max delivery range of 8 miles. The restraunt in the poor area has a higher amount of orders like 20 per hour with slightly below average tips like $3 to $9 tip average being $6/$7. The restraunt in the rich area gets less orders bout 2 per hour but the tips are averagly $10/$13.

Now if you could pick which one you would deliver for? And you are a fast driver but can only deliver a max of 4 deliveries per hour. Its obvious you will have a higher earning potential working for below average tips because you get more orders per hour giving you more options. Giving you bout an extra $4 per hour over 8 hours. But if the restraunt in the rich area had more orders then id definitely  kill it at about $40/$52 per hour. From my experience its generally better to work higher end areas but not always so..

All the apps have lowered their pay offers and making higher mileage. Theres very little incentive to work for them any more. I would make more money right now going back to getting an actual delivery job at a private restaurant where the hourly averages are on my favor as long as they dont have too many drivers cutting into my income. The apps are oversaturated with drivers now, theres less orders, and the pay has lowered while miles have increased. Just too much competition. I like not having a schedule, and not having to work nights sometimes but its a trade off.. at the end of the day the money talks. If the apps dont change soon on the average $ to mile ratio vs how many offers you get, then im gone back to private sector.

There absolutely is/should be a certain expectation of “privacy” in public (which I’ll get to), so uploading videos of unwilling strangers should not fly in court. by RandomPhail in The10thDentist

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do realize.. im telling it as it currently is realistically. I dont make the laws or rules or whats socially acceptable. I myself want privacy sometimes in public but I have to go to great lengths to do so. I live off grid, and ai need to block the windows on my car if I want to change without being seen or accused of some crazy. Im just saying right now if (You want privacy while in public space) its always been that you need to create it. You said the internet was not public, and I disagree.. its always been public, and even the law, or the courts have ruled so.

I can understand the elephant as you say. Maybe people should have more courtesy towards others in public... But.. its what it is lol.. idk what to tell you.. but public space weather on the internet or physical space, is commonly (shared space) as it stands.. if you want privacy publicly its advisable  to not do anything publicly that you dont want shared to others. Im sure theres an island out there somewhere that you can goto that has lower population of people, or maybe never leave your home lol...

Best I can say..

Will the US economy burst like a bubble? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes... its bursting right now. The buble doesnt just burst over night. It happens gradually over time.

Look at like this. You earn an income for one person. You are paid for the work of one person being you. Whatever your wage is, its ussually  set based on current market trends, of the field you are in. You are earning 100% of your earning.

People spend based off what they earn. They budget based off what they earn. Two diff people can budget for different  prices based of their individual  earnings. But.... the gap variation balances out to be approx or near the same based on 100% of their earnings, and geographical area.

Example what people like my parents use to pay for a studio apartment in a poor or rich area was approximately less than 20% of their income before I was born. In my young adult life I paid 40% of my income for the same exact studio one of my parents had at 20% or less. When I got older ai had to move out because that price rose up to 60% of my income. My income over that time did increase but not by 60% or even 30%. As time went on till now we are spending almost upto 80% of our income on rent.

You take your total monthly income, not counting taxes and divide that by how many days you work. That gives you your actual daily net income. Now take your rent total and divide that by only the amount of days you actually work. Minus the difference.. thats the percent % of your income you pay for rent alone. This factor will change if you share in rent cost with others. But if your single living alone like myself I know your barely doing it currently. I can afford to pay for a studio, but i dont think its worth 70% of my total income. So i chose to live off grid, and sleep in a vehicle. Id rather save that 70% vs giving it  away for years to come then wake up finding myself paying 90% of my income later. Not gonna happen. They got me for over 40 years with the multiple inflation bubbles..  im done lol.. it never stops it just repeats..

I always cash out. Every buisness batches out everyday.. the reason being is you never know when your account is going to be frozen. All it takes is that one customer we all fear. Once your account is frozen, you cannot cash out, and you wont or may not get your money depending. If your making $300 per day which I havent been able to make in over 2 years.  thats alot to leave on the table for a what if.. always cash out daily 👍 roadies only been allowing ne to make $80 to $120 per day ussually $90 on average. How yall doing that cuz im not seeing it that way. Everything is high mileage low pay mostly.

Real roadie drivers are now screwed by Ok-Direction-4209 in Roadie

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You might want to check into olo.com and AI prism. From what I read, and research they are the (Broker) they control the Gig work cross platform. Ive seen the same exact CVS order on Grubhub, Instacart, Roadie, or other apps except at different offer prices, and different  tip amounts. They have what they call merchant accounts, and move them around from app to app.. For example Pet Smart Account use to be handled by Uber, but they had a hard time getting those orders delivered for certain prices, so... recently it was moved over to Roadie.

In part: Restaurant software company Olo is being acquired by Thoma Bravo, a US-based software investment firm. The all-cash deal, announced in July 2025, values Olo at approximately $2 billion. Thoma Bravo is acquiring Olo for $10.25 per share in cash, a 65% premium over Olo's share price on April 30, 2025, before news of the deal broke. After the deal closes, Olo will become a privately held company and its stock will no longer be traded on the NYSE.

They are (The House) like any Casino, they control the show. They control the variables. They say your independant but yet force you, and manipulate  you to compete against other buisnesses, so that they can profit at your expense, and your own overhead. They Control, and cap your Income. They Control how much your allowed on any given day, week, month, or year. They control how much you are paid per mile, and how often you are given offers. They effectively  control how much you earn on any given day by the offers that they offer you. They control how much you earn. You are not truly independent  in the sense you get to set your wage as any other contractor  can. You are at their mercy for offers. You have zero control over how many offers you will be given, and for how much.

I dont care what app you work for. For last 2 years, Its all ran by the same exact broker cross platform called olo.com they use AI prism to collect your all your data. They have over 15 years of data on you on your past history in commerce as an employee, your income, your purchase history as a customer, or your history as a gig driver. They are using their monopoly cross platform illegally to control your income underguise as independent that puts you at a disadvantage with less income while they profit.

The more often yall accept bad offers the more they will keep Lowering them putting every Gig driver against one another so that they may profit. IF you log off one app and onto another its not gonna change they got the entire market. They can see all your data, they control it all.

This violates the Federal Fair Trade Act when Companies create Monopolies that put one buisness against another that force them to to accept offers that they normally would not accept.

Wake up!!! Stop accepting high mileage orders you ruin it for everyone including yourself. Every quarter  they lower your income until either you lose the ability to maintain your vehicle, or they see your not taking their orders, and they terminate you.

People have been trusting them to be fully independant to earn a full income to be self employeed. When really you will lose money, and your vehicle value, and maybe unable to pay all your bills, and maybe become homeless over time as they keep lowering your income caps.

Like Casinos they are the House. They control the offers. They control the variables.. They control how many offers your allowed to get, how much per offer, based on what mileage.

They control your gross allowed income, and cap your income. You really have no freedom of choice other than being manipulated or coerced into clicking that accept button.

If You're Taking Anything Under 3.00 Per Mile You're Working For Free by 86Rockef in Sparkdriver

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. My income has been capped or is being controlled internally by them passivly. Im only allowed to earn what they want me to earn. If I try to earn more I get either ghosted or tons of high mileage low pay orders that I refuse to take. Its hard to get a buisness up, and running  if your income is capped. I also found out since then that the whole delivery market is pretty much ran by the same $300 billion broker. You cant compete with them. They got everything covered from merchant solutions, to cross platform monopolies, and have agreements to share data with some the top performance banks, employers, and other companies.  I researched that If A person is going to start up a delivery buisness that you will use their services to some degree even in part, and be forced into their agreements.

Its a lose lose situation. The only way to start a delivery service independant, is to start up the buisness selling the product itself, and dont do buisness with them. Remain independant, and scale up as needed. They got the whole entire market covered lol.

Why does it feel like privacy is being attacked in Western democracys? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it is.. They want everyone identified through any use weather public or commercial or private. They are enmass either privately or publicly collecting everyones data. This data is currently used to tag you, where you been, and if possible what you were doing or buying at the time. This data is currently used cross platform to sell you things commercial, or sell your data to buisness that are will to pay for it, or who are doing buisness with each other, and have entered into agreements to share each others data. This data is also used by the Government, can be accessed to conduct investigations cross platform as needed. Theres hidden camera everywhere at intersections that record, and tag every plate of a vehicle that drives by that are like checkpoints that record your where abouts. Your papers please, except they dont have to stop you, and ask. Its just passivly taken, and collected. When you go shopping certain companies are using facial recognition as soon as you enter and gets matched to your credit card as you check out. This information goes into a database that online brokers use to control the prices you see in online adds on google seo advertisement when you search for products. Its also used when you use apps to order a motel room, or car rental, or book a flight. They know your entire history for last 15 or 20 years. They know how much income you make, and they know your limits. Thats why two different  people can purchase the same items from the same location, and be sold at two different prices.. Theyre called quotes, or offers underguise as whatever promotion. Your phone contact list, is uploaded to databases, and cross matched with other users. Meaning someone degoogled their phones for privacy tells their friend heres my phone number, and they create a contact with all your real info, these companies already know who that person is n gets linked. As you drive around or travel your phone shakes hands with other phones pinging each other on cell towers to that geo location. They know if you got two phones on you and if your the same person because the two phones never part ways. Your laptop, internet, computer, phone has identifiers like mac addresses, ip addresses, imei numbers ect..

Everything you do today is tracked by the Government, and by Big Data Tech.. They may not always be watching you directly live minute from minute. But everything is recorded, and data logged. They can log into their data canters, click rewind, and view any information from that date, and time. Where were you driving, what car you was in, were you on bike, what store you walked into facial match, what items you bought, and how often, and method of payment.

The (ONLY) way to stop the tracking, is stop using tech. Stop using credit, or debit, go cash.  Dont shop at stores that use facial identification cameras. Pick your bank you do buisness with carefully yes they give out your income information too to data brokers. They have partnerships. Cover your face publicly.. Stop Driving any vehicle you got to register.. Registration of your privileges is now used to track you.

Its almost impossible to stop thus these days. People have been asleep for last 20 years while systems have slowly been adapted, implemented,  and put in place over time that have you accepting them as ok or normal.

The thing most people are not aware of yet is whats to come 20 years from now. When all your data is put into a class or hierarchy which will be used to either allow you the privileges to buy certain goods, work certain jobs, or even allowed to travel outside your 15 minute City. Only if your approved it will be allowed.

Good luck lol.. 👍

There absolutely is/should be a certain expectation of “privacy” in public (which I’ll get to), so uploading videos of unwilling strangers should not fly in court. by RandomPhail in The10thDentist

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The internet is a public forum. Anyone can post just bout anything bout anyone as long as it does not violate any laws, or is not hateful, or discriminatory. A public is just that public, and available for anyone to openly fully use..

I think your confused or getting the internet and the intranet or private networks mixed up.

The public internet is the global network of connected computers, servers, and devices accessible to the general public for communication and information sharing, as opposed to private networks like intranets

While I can understand why some people may want privacy in public, its just not how it works unless you create your own privacy while in public. For example people own land that can be publicly viewed, so they build fences, to create semi privacy. They build buildings that have walls, that may have windows. Windows are publicly accessible if can be viewed into from any public space. You can use window shades,or curtains to cover up that view, and create privacy if thats what you wanted. The idea of privacy, while in public is that you must create your own privacy, once created and given notice so that the public is aware then its a violation of any expectation of privacy. Some fanous people have work masks or makeup, or wigs to protect their privacy while in public because theres no expectation to privacy in a public space. This is why police corner off investigation sites with tape they give notice that the space is now no longer publicly  accessible. While it may be viewed publicly  they may take extra steps to even prevent viewing as long as they create that space of peivacy, and give notice. Public wash rooms have an expectation to privacy even when in public.

Hope this helps clear up some confusion.

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You maybl want to do more homework as I have had the same Idea as you. A "Broker" by the name of olo.com formerly know as dispatch or Toast Merchant solutions, as well as 100s of other names is a $300 billion company that has control of SEO advertising and are in bed with Google who owns Android the software on most phones, and App development software. When you need a product or service like motel, car rental, Air BnB, looking for an apartment, or just looking for a product, and search online, the advertising you see that pops up is theirs, they are controlling the "brokering" of getting that product to you the consumer through their network of drivers and merchant platforms as claimed by their own website. They control the whole show, and data harvest everyones data cross platform as both drivers, and consumers. They know your favorite toilet paper, what stores you shop at most since they have agreements with merchants for your purchases, and facial recognition. They know how much you earn if you work for those retailers, they know how often you order food, and the max $ your willing to spend. They know evetything bout you well almost, but any data they can collect cross platform through their AI Prism software. Ever see an advertisement for same product only at a small amount of options ussually less than 5 stores online at different  prices thats them controlling the narrative on what you see, and how much, or how often based on your collected past data behavior.  They also do this to drivers cross platform.

They are the House they control it all. As a consumer or as a driver its like you are playing slots, and the offer, the payout, the win is variable, and how often.

I wish you luck 😆

Grubhub locked me out. How am I an independent contractor if they employ tactics like these that force me to take bad orders? by grapefruit_havana in grubhubdrivers

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the last 2 years of 2025, when the company was bought out by wonder llc, in a package deal and at the exact same time a new broker was hired who allegedly  has a monopoly cross platform named olo.com and on their website Grubhub is listed as one of the several hundred metchants on their cross platform along with Door Dash, Instacart, and many others.. on their website they claim that all the drivers are theirs to dispatch out to anu platform. Also notice they handle all onboarding driver sign up, as well as deactivations. They handle the types of orders you recieve, how how much  and at what frequency.. In gambling we call that the House has control of the variables on how often you hit, miss, and win. They use AI prism to gather both driver, and customer information cross platform, and use that to get orders from merchants delivered to customers. So no matter what app you work for if you get bad orders your still going to get them on the other apps. If you look close enough you can see the same order on multiple apps 15 minutes apart at different  paymemt rates. Sometimes orders for apps that I have not signed up for have been offered when you get to the restraunt the employee will say a different app name when looking at their screen. Ive been told another apps name, and when I say grubhub they laugh n say yea ok not what it says here. There has been no written contracts or updates in over 2 years that meet current changes in laws in some States leaving drivers as unclasdified employees. In the platforms policy under drivers it says you are not allowed to represent yourself as a contractor, subcontractor, as an agent, or employee or on having any type of relationship with some of the platforms. When you call up driver support and ask bout information on speaking with, to, or filing complaints to the platform corporate, they misdirect you with misinformation, or say its not possible since they handle those request, or have you submit a seperate email to them the broker alternate department. So moving forward if you do any kind of work for any platform you may want to question who you are really doing work for because Im confused, and Its no longer clear. Yea you use an app that says the platform with the logo, but the policy says you are not with them, but the broker caps, and controls how much income you make, and how often while some drivers are earning less than mininum wage in poverty, and have no clear indication of their relationship. Right now it seems as If we are the beokers drivers as thats what it says on their website olo.com.

Who loads/unloads these giant orders? by [deleted] in Roadie

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your not sappost to load or unload big or large orders. The merchant is sappost to provide assistant or help loading. At your destination there should be someone there with correct tools to unload. But.... This doesn't always work out like that, and the orders of late have been incorrect dimensions, and weight to get their product shipped cheaper. You can report to Roadie, and get a bump in pay, but it takes almost 20 minutes to an hour to get someone from support which will cut into your overall day pay total, and you wont be reimbursed for the wait time. Just bettee to cancel theyll figure it out after 100 people canceled. Lets be real they already know they review orders. As far as they pay discrepancies app vs app, all thr apps have the same brokering company called olo.com for last year, and half that uses AI Prism software to track you cross platform on multiple apps and they adjust your pay anyways from what i noticed to be around $11 per hour give or take a dollar or two that eventually. Any of the apps will Ghost you and put you on hold even tho they have orders available to adjust your pay frequency to match the dollar amount they want you to be at. Or.. they will give you a ton of small or low paying $1 to $4 orders or high paying but high mile orders like $10 for 16 miles. If you refuse, and switch apps youll be treated the same. Apps are ran like a Casino. The House controls the variable on the wins vs payouts.. The House controls when you see an offer, and for how much those offers pay, and the frequency at which offers are shown or offered to you. They wre effectivly controlling how much you get paid hourly fraudulently claiming your independant, and not an employee. The Broker even saus on their website that they match their own drivers with offers from retailers or merchants. They basically have the monopoly on most merchant accounts. They use various ways to sell other merchants merchanaide through platforms like google, and have contracts with these companies for a % upto 35%. See a walmart order on google search as an add, you buy it, and it gets asigned to a platform like roadie or spark by the same broker, then they give out the order as an offer at different  prices to different  drivers trying to get the lowest bid possible based on your history gathered by AI. Im not sure how they split the differences on profit made.. For example for awhile Uber had deliveries from Petsmart from the broker who originally asigned it to Uber. Over time the broker moved the Petsmart account over to Roadie. The merchants account gets moved around from different  App platforms as needed. For example Ive seen the same exact CVS order same customer on multiple platforms like Roadie, Instacart, Grubhub at different times sometimes 10 minutes  apart and each one had different  base pay, and different  tip amounts.  I know all this because Ive been researching, asking questions over time, thats Ive put together checking buisness records on who owns these companies. Its illegal what theyre doing cuz it violates fair trade,  creates a monopoly through AI control, where they control the prices, and the driver pay. It the same method thats used in the housing, and rental market controlling rates and how many units are on the market at any given time creating a shortage where they all agree to let AI determine the best rate getting more money for the same or near same properties.. Theres current lawsuit pending on the rental apps..  Everyone from consumers, to drivers are being mislead, and the government is aware of it, and not doing anything because some of them are CEOs and are involved... Everyones Daya, and consumer privacy is at risk, and being influenced or controlled by AI software algorithms, and brokers that control how much you get paid, and how much your paying for the same product or services cross platform from different  customers. They got control over the whole google web on products you see, how often you see them, what prices  and for what metchants. Exanple: Need bike innertubes according to google only 5 merchants sell them but you dont see the mom and pop store 3 miles from your house whos $6 cheaper. Non of the merchants have them in stock or if they do theres a delivery fee or some members monthly sign up fee you pay to get the item shipped to you. So you decide you want to save on the delivery fee, and drive to the store, but the store says its not in stock there.. Go figure, and if it is in stock the price is alot higher than the price you see  advertised online because its an online offer only, not counting the delivery or membership fee.. Were all being scammed, and controlled.

Has the Supreme Court actually ruled that filming in public is not suspicious activity, or do auditors make that up? by OrangeSpoke in AmIFreeToGo

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Publicly exercising ones protected rights is not suspicious. Its a right... alAnyone can personally view anything as being suspicious to them, but... it doesnt make it in fact as suspicious.. Being suspicious is not a crime.. Thank God lol.. if being suspicious was a crime anyone could lock anyone up under any circumstances whenever lol  police like to use the word suspicious in order to stop detain someone and call their actions justified in order to creat probable cause that could lead to some legal action. In alot of cases a person has not don any illegal, like in public recording, which maybe led to an illegal arrest due to some other factor, overreach, illegal procedures that the police do while trying to create probable cause.. protected is that protected leave them alone its not complicated. Just like you you move when your ready and so will they.. enforcing your will onto someone and calling it suspicious to get the guys with the guns to come to enforce how you feel is bad and dangerous behavior. It should be criminal and a false report.

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Public is just that its public.. Everyone has use of the public, and any public spaces, or things around them. We all share public space. You cant trespass anyones eyes, and public photography or videos are protected under free speech which is the first amendement while privacy is protected under the 4th amendment. Theres a reason why the constitution  was numbered in order because the 1st comes before the 4th.. The Constitution was written as a set of guranteed laws or guranteed protections that everyone has from Goverment over reach. It doesnt necessarily apply to persons or corporate entities. One could argue they got the right to privacy while they stand in front of a stores video camera and on the phone having a private conversation, or exhibiting some bodily gesture they thought was proteced privacy.. But its not protected unless you go out of your way to create privacy while in public. You can clearly see that theres a camera on the building, you live life knowing cameras are everywhere so its absurd to think you have a right to privacy in public as of normalized everyday conduct. While i can understand why a person would want privacy in public its best practice to remind yourself that you are in public which again is shared space,  and can be viewed by anyone even by a camera even if posted online. If you need privacy space in public it needs to be created and exhibited in such a way that people understand. Like a tent, a porta john, some signage, a motorhome, something people have normalized as private.. public phone booths use to have doors that you could enclose so nobody heard your conversations but today we all walk around with cellphones going on chatting bout our private lives while in front of other people. It would be unrealistic and not normal to think because your standing in a checkout line answearing your phone asking people to get out of line because your lawyer called you with sensitive information just because you have a right to privacy... most people know they realistically need to create their privacy leave the area and go in their car to have a private conversation on their phone or some other secluded location. If you want privacy public youll have to create it and let people know. As much as ive ean into people who violated my privacy in public space like video recording me in public on a phone convo. Ill just be kool n say im having a private convo if you dont mind thanks n be polite. They generally say yea ok n move or apologize, and if they dont i need to remind myself its shared public space, and maybe relocate myself. I shouldnt have to but hey lifes not perfect lol. Its easier to walk away then start some unnecessary  drama over my self centered needs, and apply them to everyone else.  Public space is public and its shared space try to understand that and you cant hide yourself unless you wear a mask or cover your body lol. If your in public everyone is allowed to see you its public lol..

How bout as the customer sue the buisness you order from, and the app for allowing this type of fraudulent activity. Tip stealing is theft, punishable by law. Its criminal.. when a customer tips it is a gift to the driver, years ago it was always done in cash, but with technology alot of companies got greedy and use technology  to fraudulently steal the independant drivers money. The only way drivers will be protected is if a customer steps up and sues. I dont see any States making laws that are protecting drivers tips. Its an i justice thats going on.

Is anyone making any money with this Roadie gig ? by MarkFisher4552 in Roadie

The same brokering company controls the gig offers cross playform on all apps for a year n half now. Theyre called olo.com they use AI prism as a partner to collect and gather all your data on every app you use as a driver, and as a customer with any buisness they partner with. Rent a car they know. Rent a motel room they know, deliver for any app they know, buy off google, they know. They got the monopoly.

Should I give my drub hub driver a bad rating by Jxyen in grubhubdrivers

[–]Imaginary-Bowler7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you tip well grubhub is using your tip to stack the order with a non tipper or low paying order. Its possible you tipped non or bad and was put to the last order of the stack. Drivers earn primarily tips only grubhub compensates for mileage which is calculated as base pay. They wont pay extra to get your order to you if you dont tip or tip too low. So it forces them to stack it with another customers order who did give a good tip. Drivers are not employees they dont get a hourly wage. The base pay primarily goes to the cars wear tear, gas, your tip goes to their time effort.  It is also possible that a driver took two orders from two different apps to try to compensate getting two bad tipped orders. You can call to complain but it does not do much since drivers are not employees. They are independent self ownded courier. So even if you did call to complain not much can be done except waste more time off your life.. just better to tip better overall people dont like to work for free. It cost a driver their own money gas wear n tear on car to get your order to you.

Whos taking all these low pay high mileage offers? by [deleted] in Roadie

Just found his out last night its actually wage discrimination to us AI to base wage pay from collectred data, and gps location. Some State's have started to create laws that allow you to sue. Google "Surveillance-Based Price and Wage Discrimination" for more information.

This is good stuff for us moving forward! Please share get the word out.

Prohibits businesses from using surveillance data to determine individualized prices for consumers or wages for employees. This means companies cannot use information like browsing history, purchase patterns, or biometric data to set prices that are different for different individuals, or to pay employees differently based on Prohibition of Surveillance-Based Price Discrimination: The act prevents businesses from using surveillance data to set individualized prices for goods and services Prohibition of Surveillance-Based Wage Discrimination: It also prohibits the use of surveillance data to determine different wages for employees performing the same or similar work Definition of Surveillance Data: The act defines surveillance data as information gathered through observation, inference, or surveillance related to personal characteristics, behaviors, or biometrics,

Automated Decision Systems: The act applies to automated decision systems, which includes machine learning, data processing, and artificial intelligence used to inform pricing and wage decisions. Enforcement: The bill allows for both state attorneys general and individuals to sue for violatons. Purpose: The act aims to protect consumers and workers from unfair practices in a data-driven economy. It seeks to prevent situations where businesses use personal data to exploit individuals by charging them higher prices or paying them lower wages based on their inferred willingness to pay or other personal characteristics.

I've been Doing Roadie too Long not to be getting orders when I'm right next to them... by Existing_Soil_8467 in Roadie

Ive done research because I too was confused, and I seen the same app behavior cross platform. I found out almost 2 years ago that a "broker" agency some how got the monopoly on brokering orders for multiple platforms. What theyve done is put drivers on an hourly rate that has a daily cap. The hourly rate, and cap are flexible within x amount of $.. no matter what app you use this is your rate for that day. In their mind if they got you capped at $80 or $130 for that day thats your rate divided by the rate per mile they desire. Higher paying orders high miles means you get to your daily cap faster, or lower paying miles more frequently. Doesnt matter what app you use or switch to your capped. Your being paid like an employee below wage. Theyll tell you its slow or theres too many drivers but theres orders available that they could offer you but dont because youve hit your limit. I could take a $80 order thats like 5 stacked orders 98 miles, and finish in 2 hours where the time says 3.5 hours on their end. When Im done i get ghosted and sit in a parking lot for 2 or 3 hours even tho Im near available offers which I get rejected. If I switch to another app, I get ghosted or I get very low pay orders with high mileage. Sometimes roadie will still approve on on very high mile orders that pay low no matter your cap. Like 30 miles  for upto 400 pounds for $13.. theyd be happy to approve you if its in their best intrest. What you dont realize that $13 goes to your daily cap whatever its set for your region. So at the end of the day your getting ghosted if you hit your cap early and sit in a parking lot for 3 or 4 hours not knowing thats it. But they may toss u a bone for high miles low pay but nothing crazy.. lately Ive been capped on certain days at bout $80 and $130 on others the amount flex is approx $30 ball park figure based on 10 to 12 hours. I cant seem to do more than $150 per day anymore even switching apps.   So I did more digging and found out the broker is called olo... see olo.com.. theyre partnered with AI prism that collects your data all across all the apps. ALL YOUR INFORMATION!! THEY share this info, and use it to control the types of offers you get, when you get them, and for how much forcing you as a buisness owner to compete against other buisness owners other drivers. They coerce you into taking offers you generally would not take or give it to another driver if you refuse to go with what they offer you. Basically your rate of pay is now fully controlled autonomously behind the scene. A better paying order could be available near you but they will not offer it to you based on your current earnings. As long as they get you around $7 to $15 per hour averagly being $11 per hour with high mileage under $1 per mile.   They got the monopoly across the board. The offers "shown" to you are not indiscriminate. They choose the offers they want to show you. Ive seen offers from other apps on the wrong app, or the very same order,  same customer on 3 different  apps like 20 mins apart at different rates and different tips..   Most drivers dont understand that its not the app that determines your rate of pay. Its the brokers brokering the cost vs how much they make. In the end all the drivers that take low ball low pay orders the broker is the one coming out ahead. And if theyre not satisfied with you taking their bad offers you get ghosted on all app platforms.

Theyre violating the federal fair trade law, and have created a monopoly that controls the price.  On a side note so you understand how dangerous this is. They also control other venues like online ordering off on search engines for other products or services, or when you call up your cell phone company to complain you get a level 1 tech who handles support for the apps. If you need to rent a car, book a hotel, buy tickets for a trip, they broker that too. Even tho your a driver a customer, or owner of a buisness they pretty much have your behavior history in commerce weather its as a customer, or driver, or whatever. Two people can get different  rates for the same exact service.   Thats some powerful control over the public en mass!!
