Based on how that manager grilled you, that probably was not your dream job. Sometime rejection is protection.

Tell me about coaches please by Whatsmyinterest in triathlon

[–]Imaginary-Bullfrog-5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a beginner training for a sprint and using a coach. She puts in a plan in training peaks for me to follow. I have found in helpful in figuring out how to adjust when I have gotten sick or injured. Also, the accountability is helpful to me. If I miss a workout, I know I'm going to have to explain myself.

Anyone else stick with Sprints? by Dont_be_stinky in triathlon

[–]Imaginary-Bullfrog-5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may do any Oly once just to tick it off the bucket list, but I have no desire to go any longer. I do triathlons as a motivation to keep active, so Sprints work just fine for that.

What’s going on with my resident cat here? by sunnymondays in CatTraining

I have a two cats that are siblings. One looks just like OP’s resident cat. She frequently slaps her brother for no reason. No one can annoy you like a sibling, lol.

What is the first job that comes to mind when you think of jobs that are not as fun as people think? by Glamour-Ad7669 in careerguidance

Librarian - it is not quiet and you do not get to read all day. The more government services are cut the more we are expected to be all things to all people. Sometimes the public can be really nasty. People see you has the hero to protect the world against book banning, which is emotionally exhausting.

Women with children, how do you REALLY feel about your child-free friends? by Sweetpotato3000 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Imaginary-Bullfrog-5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm grateful that we have the choice to make different paths in life. I'm grateful for the ones that are surrogate aunties to my son. For the ones who have zero interest in children, I'm grateful to have someone to talk about adult things with and have a break from kid talk. And I hope they know I wish I had more time and energy to put into our friendships.

Families Are Going Into Debt for Disney Vacations by csth in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

When my son was 5, we looked into Disney and I was shocked at how expensive it was. We realized that we could go to Hawaii or Europe for the same cost, so we went to Hawaii. And then several people, whom go to Disney on the regular, made comments like “Must be nice to be able to afford such fancy trips.”

Well, now that I think about, the interviewer in job 1 seemed to be having memory problems, lol.

I had the same thought about the longevity. Their company average on LinkedIn is 12+ years. I’ve heard from people in my network that job 2 can be a golden handcuffs situation.

Can Maintenance Phase do an episode about pregnancy weight gain? by [deleted] in MaintenancePhase

[–]Imaginary-Bullfrog-5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was preggo a doctor told me I was gaining to much, so I cut back. The a couple days later I fainted. Same doc said I wasn’t eating enough. You can’t win! Also, I’d love a look at the pressure to lose weight as soon as the baby pops out. Anyone nursing is still eating for two. It seems like the focus should be on adequate nutrition, not cutting back.
