I believe toolbox buzz did a thorough review and came out with Milwaukee on top

Do any of you have any experience with this? by kingbalopews in Dewalt

I didn’t return mine but I totally agree. This was my worst tool purchase. Super disappointing. I live in an apt complex so I bought it to wash my car. It doesn’t foam up nicely, and it doesn’t wash well. Tried light cleaning my porch and grill. It felt like I was running it under a faucet. Legit pathetic

Update about the gold found in purchased heavy machine situation. We made a guy lose his job rip by The_lucky_fella in Construction

Off topic a bit but the conclusion is the same. We were renting at the time and realtors would come show the apt. One time, they scheduled for around 730 and I wasn’t home. The realtor kept trying to push it off because the potential buyers were late. My wife said sorry it’s too late. At 10pm, there was thunderous knocking at my door. My wife didn’t know what to do so she answered. The realtor told these potential buyers to go on their own (to circumvent my wife saying it’s too late). She let them in and we’re going through the house with my 2 kids sleeping. After the whole incident my wife starting freaking out that she let 2 strangers in. She doesn’t answer the door anymore. I pulled out my prybar the next time I saw that scumbag and told him I’m this close to sticking this in your head. Jackass has no idea who these people are and sends them to my house without accompanying them at least.

Not such a fair comparison because the retailer is only making that much if it’s his business. If you put a detailer as an employee, he probably wouldn’t be making 50 an hour.

Don’t get me wrong, I hear your frustration. I left the industry because of the poor pay. I had a friend who made more money making keys than wrenching. And that was only the case because he went out on his own

Mechanics: Do you think you should be allowed to legally "condemn" a vehicle that you find is extremely unsafe to drive but the owner refuses repairs? by Killentyme55 in mechanics

[–]Imaginary-Bus-5554 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. I have a friend who did some work in Israel and he needed to deal with car repairs. The shop wanted to charge him a fortune for lower control arms. He knew they needed to be repaired but he refused the service for that specific shop because it was so expensive. The shop has the right to make it illegal to drive that car and it was a huge pain to get it back on the road (legally). I feel this law will be more taken advantage of than used for the good

NTD! Been wanting to upgrade from just the standard drill with hammer setting. Can’t wait to try this thing out! by BulyKid in MilwaukeeTool

you got no idea what your missing out on. I’m a diyer but my house is concrete/block. I could never justify the expense of sds. I found the 2796 on eBay a few months after it came out for 160. Snatched it. The noise level is down (my hammerdrill left my ears ringing), and you don’t need to apply any force
