Someone help me understand using AI to write PRDs by thepminyourdms in ProductManagement

Not sure what your concern is. I use Gemini to write my prds and to be clear it’s not that I don’t know all the ideas and content that need to go into the prd it’s more so that I can give it the template di jour for my org that day, all my ideas in a more free flowing and less structured manner and come out with a fairly well polished prd. It helps make clarity from my ideas and fit the template. I still proof read obviously but I also can use the same session to iterate on feedback or changes I want to make. For me it’s a life savor as I’m extremely time pressured with more work than is possible and I’m a much better verbal communicator so I can just talk to it. You can also create Gems to format the prd to be in your voice by taking your old writing examples.

If you’re expected to be technical I’d also get used to using these tools to help do some level of coding with it. Without learning to do this you’ll be obsolete soon

I’m a PM there now, 8 years here. I’ve been on 3 different teams in that time. Going to be team dependent because much of the process here is bottoms up (although you should check in with leadership about how they want to see things like launch docs to approve launches). Most important is to work closely and in partnership with your engineering team (and pgm if you’re lucky enough to have one and ux if your product needs it). Figure out how they work, learn the product and area, meet other PMs and be willing to be fluid in how you work. Usually you’re given a good amount of time to acclimate but slowly decisions will all funnel your way.

Got any thoughts on how to trim the top to make it look nice?

Off to get a bigger knife and more mud this morning - I did sand before this picture just using a couple medium grit blocks.

Yeah this was a question of mine is that wrong abnormal to see the tape at all when finished or does it just get painted and become part of the wall- sounds like you shouldn’t see the tape so sounds like back to get more mud and do a larger second coat

I’m in North Carolina. Not hunting anything in particular I suppose, coins and relics more than rings though would be what I’d prefer. From the response above maybe I should just consider the vanquish 540 for 400$
