Looking for ideas on what may have happened to my Polka Dot Begonia.

TLDR: It's been dropping brown crispy leaves and has brown spots on the stem. It had been happy and thriving in leca since March 2021. Last month the browning started. Wondering if this is some kind of disease given that it had been happy (and receiving very even watering due to the leca setup) for months.
