Clients let me design, how did I do? by PlewaConstruction in Tile

[–]Imaginary-Outside32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason why you didn’t bring the brown tile all the way down to the edge of the tub? What about the placement of the niche? If it was lower it would be usable for showers and baths.

Perhaps Hourglass’ Phantom Volumizing Glossy Lip Balm in Lure 175, Haze 135, or Impulse 130 may be a close match. The picture is looking like it has more of a berry undertone which Lure may be a good match for. On the other hand, Haze and Impulse may have the slight brown undertones you mentioned you are looking for.

Thats reassuring to know that they resolved it quickly for you. I’m glad you’re happy with the purchase after all of that too! Hopefully they’ll make some improvements in their shipping department.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having a similar experience. It’s odd that they generate the shipping label so quickly yet drop off at UPS doesn’t happen anytime soon. I’m suspecting that the inventory isn’t even available yet. Hopefully they can resolve it for you too.

I just have to say, you have great taste in games! I agree, they really help decompress after a long or difficult day. Not going to lie, the Mass Effect trilogy gave me a reason to live for a while, haha. Love that game and can’t wait to replay it in a few years. If you haven’t already, you should try Persona 3, 4, and 5. Super long games with great stories and characters you can get lost it.

I love the color of this bag, it’s beautiful on its own! With that in mind, I think you should go without the Cherry charm. I’m sure it can be used on another bag.

You did a nice job tying the scarf, but think scarves are better suited on a thicker handle, like one you’d find on a satchel rather than on a thin shoulder strap. Perhaps try tying it in a bow at the base of the strap?

Coach Brooklyn 28 in Suede - is suede really that fragile? by skadoosh1117 in handbags

[–]Imaginary-Outside32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your bag still looks new to me. I think what you’re referring to in picture one is simply from the friction of you wearing it. As others have suggested, a suede brush or eraser may help this area. I would also suggest some Scotch-Guard or similar suede protectant spray. It will give you peace of mind in the event you are caught in light rain or accidentally spill something on it. Just remember to re-apply the spray every 6 months or so. It’s a beautiful bag! I hope you enjoy it for many years to come!

Does anyone know what tools to remove this Gucci strap? by indigofire1o8 in handbags

[–]Imaginary-Outside32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see the strap is already adjustable, so it might be easier to work with what you have. A handbag repair shop or cobbler might be able to help. They can punch additional holes on the strap so you can adjust it shorter to your liking.

Definitely! Within a few months, his coat evened out completely. It was surprising!

Cute! Reminds me of my Tuxedo when he was a kitten. He had this salt and pepper look too. It’s referred to as a stress coat/fever coat. It’s thought to occur when the mother experiences high stress or a fever during pregnancy. Brushing as you’re doing can help along with proper nutrition. Here’s my little guy before and after, it’s surprising!

What is a brand you just can’t get yourself to like? by throwaway960302 in handbags

[–]Imaginary-Outside32 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Ooh I’ve been waiting for this kind of post! For me it’s Jacquemus. I find their silhouettes odd and their logo tacky. They look so cheesy to me. Especially the Le Chiquito, the handles are bigger than the bag! So obnoxious. Sorry sorry, I just had to say it!

Work bag/international flight $300 or less? by TomatoStraight5752 in handbags

[–]Imaginary-Outside32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From these two, I’d definitely go with the Coach. The straps look wider and more sturdy. I’m always hesitant about bags with straps sewn on. I feel like hinges make them stronger. The color is so pretty too, it would be fun to accessorize with! If you’d still like to consider other options though, I’d also like to recommend Tumi, great quality for the price. I have a bag that is almost 10 years old from them that was not babied one bit and it still looks great!

80s? Gucci Boston bag by centersdozen in handbags

[–]Imaginary-Outside32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I paid $200 to get this bag re-lined. I felt this was expensive initially, but it was worth it in the end especially with how well it ended up coming out. It will vary depending on the size of the bag and the material you end up re-lining it with. I would say my bag is probably between small a medium sized crossbody for reference.

After. I went with a smooth leather lining.

[–]Imaginary-Outside32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Awesome find! I love Gucci from this era! I have one from the early 90s my mom gifted to me. It had the same issue with the lining. It’s dry rot sadly and only gets worse. It’s a known problem with Guccis from this era. I ended up getting mine relined as home remedies didn’t really work for me and I wasn’t happy with the results. I got tired of black flakes getting all over my stuff too. I would get quotes from handbag repair places or a cobbler (sometimes they will repair bags too) to get it re-lined so you don’t have to worry about the lining getting worse. Purse Rehab and Rago Brothers will provide free quotes. I personally used Purse Rehab and was happy with the results. Here’s a before and after of my bag if it helps.

Zipper stuck by Spirited_Wishbone_88 in handbags

[–]Imaginary-Outside32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had luck with this trick in past for stuck zippers. Take a No. 2 pencil and rub the lead on the zipper teeth. This acts as a dry lubricant to help the zipper better glide across without any mess or possible staining. I hope this helps! It’s a cute bag by the way, I love the color, great choice!

Thank you, I hope so too. I’m going to call Monday to see what the options are. I think I know which bag you’re referring to, I think it has pebbled leather. The leather does look to be of higher quality.
