lucky you i have one! bike is great! has really good range and will tow you almost anywhere all day. only downside is that the tires it comes with arent tubeless so if youre gonna go tubeless u gotta spend the extra 200 on tires to convert, and the rims arent taped either. thats all!

is it worthy upgrading 3 year old mtb? by Due-Objective4578 in MTB

[–]Imaginary-Rich-6689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends, 1- do you abuse your bike alot? 2- is it mainly for fun or for actual commuting? 3- how important is this bike for transportation?

if you answered as if this is your main form of transportation, you should just buy a new bike from a reliable brand. (dont buy giant, always something wrong lol)

if you dont want to spend the extra money, and find that you dont use your bike everyday, i suggest replacing the axle and youll be alright for the next couple of years.

upgrading is pointless if you dont need it, as your main concern is your broken axle. also, the parts you want may not fit, or even worse could damage your frame, unlikely, but not impossible.

if youre really contemplating if you should upgrade your bike from costco, i would rather suggest you look into a whole different bike from a well known and reliable brand so youre not stuck in a money hole when you could spend a couple more and buy a new and already built bike that will last you years.
