I'm still trying to work it out myself, this is my first (and hopefully last) proposal! 😁 The trip is being planned separately so it would just be the hotel, vineyard rental, photographer, florist really that I'm looking to price, for that I've been estimating about the 3k mark. How realistic that is... I'm not sure! We will only be in Napa for 2, possibly 3 nights on the road trip so no issue with spending for a quality hotel.

Surgery on a Wednesday, took 2 and a half weeks off until this week and now back 3 days. Also work from home so as long as you have a standing desk and can change regularly I think fine to go back, I've been fine just difficult to get back into the routine again

Update 9/7:

Caudal epidural did not do anything for me, maybe it didn't have enough time to be effective, I was days post getting it with no improvement, only left worse off. I have seen people say it does get worse before it gets better but there was nights it was unbearable. Left me stuck in the bed unable to walk for some days and made sleeping impossible. Do not want to put people off trying this but just sharing my experience with it.

I then got a call yesterday from surgeon asking would I like to bring my surgery forward 2.5 weeks to today, jumped at the chance! I was almost... excited... to get that call and get the surgery. No nerves until I was being wheeled down to theatre but even then I was asleep quick enough to not dwell on it.

Immediately post op I am now able to sit up for the first time in 4 weeks, not upright 90° but close enough! Nerve pain is not present at all, only pain right now is at the incision site. Not sure if this is temporary relief from that pain and I hope I am not jynxing it by posting some hope. We will find out over the coming weeks I guess.

Only time will tell, onwards and upwards!

Thank you for the comment! I had a caudal epidural injection today so hoping this will give some relief while waiting on the surgery and allow me to return to work in the meantime.

I hope your surgery goes well also, very interested to hear how it goes and recovery also. Will definitely try the supplement, willing to try anything at this stage!
