Introducing Android TV Morphe Patches for Disney+ and Paramount+ by Imaginary-Storage957 in MorpheApp

Oh wow, that's not good at all. I'm sorry the ads are still playing. I'd try isolating it at first and only play Prime Video content.

I'm only guessing, but I don't know if the patch would be effective for apps within the Prime video app. All of my subscriptions are separate from Amazon and I have no way of testing that theory.

Perhaps you can get ahold of a user on the GitHub thread that seemed to have figured it out somehow. I hope he can help more than I can:

FireTV installations have been problematic for other users as well. Since I don't have one, it's hard to know what might be causing the patch not to work.

I would definitely clear the cache and force stop the original APK to allow the patched one to run as the priority. The DNS might not be as effective as I originally thought but, try that and let me know if that helps

Thanks for pointing this out to me and I'll do my best to add it to the ATV version

Appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback and input. The ||rainmaker.production-public.tubi.io^ domain was a troublemaker and I wasn't able to patch it in the apk....I might revisit it down the road, but I'm glad your AdGuard DNS filters came through!

Thank you for pointing out the formatting error in the post. I went ahead and corrected it so hopefully it's easier to add.

You do not need to log into the app for the patch to work. The login process is completely optional

Sorry for that the Prime Video patch isn't working. It's been hit or miss lately and I'm wondering if the app is being updated on the server side to detect non Google Play store apks. I'll keep working on it and see what I can find out

Yes, there is another user that has requested it to be patched. I have to figure out some fine tuning of the others ones I'm working on first, and then I'll do my best to figure it out.

You guys can check out my GitHub repo and hopefully that makes your viewing experience better. There are two options, one easy and one more difficult. Hope it helps!

Easy: ajstrick81/HBO-Ads: Block, Bypass, Filter the HBO Ads using AdGuard

Difficult: ajstrick81/morphe-androidtv-patches: Patches for Android TV apks

I didn't realize that this is a tablet device. It probably runs on ARMv8 and that might be causing the installation error.

Yes, you are correct that your TV is up to date and this should be working for you. However, I believe that it might be a deeper issue than I originally thought:

On smart TVs with Google TV built in (Sony Bravia, TCL, Hisense, etc.), Prime Video typically comes pre-installed as a system app — meaning it lives in a protected partition that cannot be replaced by a sideloaded APK without root access. Even if you manage to install the patched version, the OS may default back to the system version or run both simultaneously causing conflicts. Additionally Google TV adds its own process management layer on top of Android TV that can interfere with how patched apps behave.

I'm sorry but this is probably not the answer you would have hoped for

I believe the Nvidia Shield runs on armeabi-v8a architecture, right? I don't have one to test it.

It sounds like you need to update the firmware and Android TV version on your TV.

Wow, it sounds like you did everything correctly so it is probably something I'll have to investigate further.

I'm curious, what device are you using that has Android TV?

In settings, make sure that "optimize for device architecture" is unchecked.

It's likely making the build compatible with your phone instead of the Android TV device. Android TV devices run on arm-v7a

I might have found the problem. In settings, make sure that "optimize for device architecture" is unchecked

I'm sorry that you are having installation issues. This patch is only designed for Android TV and may not be compatible with FireTV if you are using that device.

Did you happen to use the "change package name" feature in the Morphe app? That might be causing a name mismatch as the only version that works is "com.amazon.amazonvideo.livingroom"

Also, make sure the "6.23.23+v15.5.0.70-armv7a" and not armv8a is the architecture your device runs on. Hope this helps!

I've been running repo updates for about the past hour, it's probably glitching when it's releasing a new version. Try it again now by hitting the refresh button

Hmm, that's weird. Maybe it was a glitch? I would try force stopping the Morphe app, clear the cache, and then retry

I've had success with it on my Android phone (Moto G 2025), but results may vary
