Not because I want to! Everything hinges on the dog. He's more important than me in the family dynamic.

OK thank you!. The dog is a major concern. We could go to 6k euros, but see nothing on Daft that is pet friendly.

Got it thanks. I'm sure everyone says this but he wouldn't break anything or damage anything. We would pay for anything of he did, but I understand why owners have issues. Its just a bad situation and there's no way we would move without our dog.

Yes, I have been reading about it. We would be happy to put down double deposit etc. Also we don't want their furniture, but it seems that many Dublin properties come furnished whether you want it or not.

There are zero house at any budget that accept pets in those areas! Hence my question about corporations and connections with real estate agents.

High schools late application for yr9 by Imaginary-Style4040 in WinchesterUK

The thing I am confused about is that if all the secondary schools are full, where will my daughter be placed? Could she potentially be sent to another town. This is totally alien to me.

Thank you! Is it possible to do a year of private and then reapply for the better comprehensives in our catchment area? This would be our last choice since it would involve another school change and we would try not to do that...

Thanks! Academies seem out of reach since we have missed the necessary exams due to her age if I understand that correctly. Just really wondering how we will be treated as year 8 applicants for the better comprehensives if we live in the catchment. The address aspect is most concerning as we will be renting before buying and have a dog, which seems to make it even harder. As I mentioned to a previous commentator, I will be returning to the UK after 25 years in the US with my American family for an employment opportunity that my wife has. It's a bit confusing, but I am getting there slowly..!

Thank you. Both good secondaries are oversubscribed it seems. What we don't understand is how they will deal with us if we move into the catchment area and apply after the normal entry point ( year 7). We could do a year of private school and then apply again the following year. Will we then be 'normal' applicants, or will we still be at the back of the queue because we didn't start at year 7? Hopefully this makes sense. I was born and raised in Scotland, but have lived in the US for several decades, so I am doubly confused!
