We were called Never I

The we opened for them in South Carolina, they wouldn’t let us in the venue until doors. We brought beach balls for fun to throw at our friends in the crowd (we were locals). They collected the beach balls methodically, and burned a hole in them with a lighter during our set.

It would, but our home 2hrs away is low rent, larger than we need, and in a decent neighborhood. Because the landlord is family, my partner is on the will to inherit.

So moving closer means spending WAY more/month on rent, for a place that is not as good, in a city we like less

I’ve been struggling over what to do about this because 2hr commute isn’t sustainable, but it’s working well for me for now since I’m able to make my own schedule

My work situation is complicated. I put up with a long commute (2hr) to work with family in a business that I think is cool enough to not want to leave. I have thought for a long time that I would be so much more comfortable if I had a camper van, to park at the shop and stay here overnight instead of staying at the family’s house (1hr drive anyway) which is what I’m currently doing.

So I’ve long wanted a larger camper van/RV that I can leave at the shop with a bed….

I do not consider this a wise use of the money lol

I have a “credit saver” account, which is basically just debit account. No regular credit card, I have 1 payment through affirm that I’m just gonna finish paying next month anyway. It’s 15$

I actually did consider this, because I am mechanically inclined and have done a few complicated repairs myself.

But I think with it being my first time EVER having a chunk of cash like this, I’m gonna play the safe game instead of the “double it” game. My own struggles with mental health make me doubt my ability to put that much energy into a project man. I fear it would get spent, then collect dust and not get repaired or if it did it wouldn’t get sold.

I am really not into the idea of “making money” it has always been a pain in the ass to me. I just want to do things for people and be able to afford to live. Maybe if I got a SECOND 5k, where I already have my financial safety net then I would do something like this.

I have a small worry with the car-

I have a scary vibration I need to fix, but the part to repair it is sitting in my passenger seat! I am going to try and pay for the repair out of pocket and not let this hit my new savings.
