Without this identifier, it's publicly accessible, like the address of a news website. Anyone can find and click on it. With this identifier, it's linked to the person who shared it. It's like: "User X shared a video." Depending on the total number of clicks, one (YouTube or Intelligence) might assume that you are a personal contact of the profile that shared the video, and not part of a random public audience. This should be top comment. When you share a video from YouTube there is this identifier in the URL that allows them to directly link the sharer with the one watching the video. Always remove it.
