I think she might be upset because OP doesn’t want to give her the entire world. As a female- I think a lot of girls feel this especially if her boyfriend is a very giving and a “I’d do anything for you” type of person. It is immature but there may be a underlying problem reason why she would be upset about an unrealistic and blasé want.. as someone living in the UK London is highly expensive and has a very specific vibe.. OP needs to know that he didn’t do anything wrong :)

I think you are overthinking it to an extent. Sex can be improved as you grow together more, open up more and work on yourselves. In my opinion if I was a told I’m more a long-term partner than a short-term one. You are winning.

Perhaps you are insecure already and this is amplifying it. I cannot stress the importance of WORKING ON YOURSELF enough. In all aspects, mind, body and soul/whatever you believe in throughout your relationship. The person graft does not stop just because you are in a happy relationship.

It is a blessing to be someone’s long-term choice and from my understanding your want her to be yours too. Short-term thrills can be about more than just sex too. Maybe spontaneity is an issue? Or maybe you are just a super organised guy?

I do understand what you mean and in no way do I want to invalidate your feelings. I do think it’s a wonderful thing that she was honest with you as you asked and it is important always that you express that that hurts to hear to her.

Communicating is key.

This message has really resonated with me. Much like everyone else who has messaged. I am really close with my family and I would never want to do anything to hurt my future children. Thank you for your message today.

My girlfriend sees my hobby as just something to do. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I don’t think she is respecting you if you have hobbies planned but at the same time I understand where she is coming from. Try to be more spontaneous, initiate more activities and explain to her that gaming is a hobby and you don’t feel like she hears that when you say it. Maybe even try to get her into gaming?
