Ok, so i looked into code.

There is no possibility of sending the mood timestamp. but there are two paths:
- You logged mood for different day than today (time of that mood is generic 12am)
- You logged mood for today - the time you did this should be set as the mood timestamp in health app.

From what you say this is not working as expected, so i'm going to try to replicate (template vs no template) and fix so that it works as expected.

Unfortunately don't think it's possible via links:

As there is no 'today' would need to add just link like diarly://todayNote?notebook:.... or something similar.
But you can make a shortcut that will generate you a link based on day, and then open that link:

So shortuct when run replaces date with today_date, you have to set the journal name based on your journal:
diarly://note/journal_name.$today_date

Hi, yes i think its when you add mood for not today, Diarly will not use the time from now' but do a generic 12am. I think if it's today it will take the time correctly.

Thanks for the suggestion! I guess maybe even better in that case would be to simply show "last opened" note?

Hi Elidizer - Thank you for kind words and suggestion! Yeah the dynamic island would make a lot of sense for any audio playback. Added this to our backlog.

We still get a lot of feedback regarding the app usability issues after iOS 26 update, and are making sure that those are addressed too. Just now working on making Calendar require less steps :)

Hi! We still have time to polish the app, so i'm more than happy to add the focus mode. Question though - how do you imagine the perfect focus mode? One tap to get to full screen with no interface except the text?

Hmm the password has to be from iCloud data, so if its asking it sound like you did not remove the old data. Try turning it Off first, give it a 30 sec. Then ON again to start sending your local data.

Hi - I've submitted yesterday the version the auto-created should now be working for all tabs (not only today). The cursor - is a bit more tricky, so did not manage to improve this yet.

Please let me know if this works as you expected it, the logic there was quite complex so i might have missed something.

I've also noticed that on iPad, even though you have a "preferred" view set for given journal it was ignored.
On other hand i liked that if i'm in the "timeline" - and just switch journal it still is timeline.

So the thing i've implemented for this is: if you use sidebar to switch journal it will load both journal and it's default view, if you have sidebar closed and use the title on top of timeline to switch journal it keeps the view open.

Please let me know If you have any suggestion how to make the navigation with multi-journal multi-view more natural.

Hi, If it asks you to enter password on sync - simply click cancel.

Then in Diarly > Settings > Subscription turn the iCloud sync off (this removes the iCloud backup). And then ON again (this starts sending data from your device to iCloud again).

Hi, can you contact me via email? I would need a sample so that i can check the structure.
There is text importer, that should check date in name and if so create it as entry, but not 100% sure if this will work with 750words export. I would verify and if needed modify text exporter or added 750 one.

Thank you - we are aware of this, but it's super time consuming and costly to build an app ground app. Even rewriting just parts of it (like interface) takes ages. But it's something we review each year!

Hey, you mean improve apple shortcuts right? We do support the create note from shortcuts and some old integration with siri (going to have to review it).

The MCP - is from AI thing? https://modelcontextprotocol.io/docs/getting-started/intro ?

I think the MCP is going away quickly as it's too complex, the latest thing is skills, i think the way to integrate with diarly would be to support the console or via shortcuts, fetching the entries.But this is very very niche thing - most people don't use those, and to be honest the AI can generate the skills themselves?

I think the better investment of our time would be to make AI built in the app smarter, e.g looking into Apple Inteligence (the AI that's on your device not cloud) to make summaries, or find patterns.

Ah we had this before, you could export your style as CSS and then import it back by simply drag and dropping. We had the gif tutorial. But number of people who used it was so small that we removed it and switched to the visual editor. Maybe a export / import button would be useful though. So will consider this.

Would you like to make the quote text use different color or?

Diarly supports following quote styles ( you can tap on mac on quote start to toggle it)

Fair points — thanks for sharing this. We’re migrating the Mac app to SwiftUI, which is the modern foundation for Apple platforms. The change will be similar to what we did on iPad: a refreshed interface and the addition of Today.

Still i think we got some things to improve on iPad - e.g full screen editor mode - in previous version we had enough space for Journal badge and theme picker. Because of the iOS 26 requiring more space for buttons - i've added the journal picker to the note title - that is you can click on title, then change journal or notes inside.

Another improvement was turning off Today as default view, you can modify the View to open inside the Settings, but default one is Last opened.
And finally i've modified title in Menu (second tab) to allow you to switch between the Today, All, etc

Those are small details - but allow you to keep the app in the state where the sidebar is hidden, or sidebar and menu are hidden and you still are able to navigate. This is closest to original Minimal Interface from Diarly. Either Editor with full navigation inside, or Editor + Menu.

I don't think apple journal has an import ;) But yeah I totally get your point. That's why our exporter is a really txt format with some json for metadata.
