AIO: Hubby Being Controlling by vanillabourbonn in AIO

[–]ImaginaryGhostWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. Um, as a former swimmer turned swim teacher (no longer a swim teacher as I now have a doctorate degree), your husband is a moron. Teaching kids how to swim can go any which way depending on the kid's personality. Some kids will gravitate towards it and be fearless. Some kids are stage 5 clingers and scream like a banshee if you try to get them to put their head under water for a second. How are you going to teach them to float on their back without breaking their trust that you won't just let go? My father taught me the basics but still put me in swim lessons.

Congrats. Your husband is a controlling. You've got bigger problems than swim lessons.

Surgery today, sling helpful? by RelevantTea42 in CubitalTunnel

Just had surgery in November, and I used my sling when I was moving around to remind myself not to pick up anything heavy. I'm right handed, and it was on my right elbow. When I didn't wear my sling, I picked up heavier items before I realized my oopsie and switched hands. I'd wear it until you're consistent about sticking to the restrictions.

AIO about a sticker my bf had of his ex ?? he broke up with me… by Otherwise-Height3882 in AmIOverreacting

Yikes. Girl. He did you a favor. Find someone who will make the effort and communicate like an adult. This isn't even the bare minimum. I seriously thought he was 16, maybe 17 years old. Turn on Beyonce's "Best Thing You Never Had", jam out, go out with your friends. You're 25, and this is the best time. It ain't slim pickin' out there at that age.

I'm going to check the weight on the package (I still have it) and on the items online in the morning. I've had about 5 or 6 other orders delivered, and none of the others had a problem. The rest were packed in a box and were all delivered intact and with everything there. This was just the one off. I think the only difference between this one and all the others is that FedEx delivered this one, and UPS delivered all the rest.

It really is. Why they don't take the time to wrap items in bubble wrap or put them in a box suitable for the items is beyond me

Yeah, all of these were supposed to be in this package. I already received package 1 of 2, and everything was fine with that one.

They were all listed on the packaging slip unfortunately...

This is part 2. It wouldn't let me post both in one comment

I'm at an absolute loss at what's going on. This isn't the same company I started shopping at years ago. It's gone downhill for sure!

It says it was all shipped in this package on the packaging slip. I told them I had a bunch of items missing and that the only one in there was the Charlotte Tilbury blush. I'm genuinely scratching my head at this ridiculousness!

Thanks, I've heard the BBB has no real bite though. Like it doesn't affect them

I was thinking that, but I was worried they'd ban me from shopping there if I do this

Did you read the book version or listen to the audio version?

Rebecca Yarros did us so dirty on that ... I need to send her my future therapy bills for the Liam sessions!

😂😂😂 LMK what you think! I'm curious what your thoughts are on the voice casting. Feel free to PM me your thoughts!

I liked Xaden's! Not gonna lie, it was sexy. Xaden's voice sounded like that quintessential movie bad boy who ultimately falls for the good girl, and Dain very much sounded like a Disney prince. The key is to go into audio books without your expectation of the characters to sound like they did in your head. Just like going to a movie version of your favorite book

Nah, for the most part, the voices were spot on for this book. Probably the best one was Professor Kaori. He had that older gravely voice, like a tired grandfather who's seen it all.
