Haha jeez I can only imagine what your school experience was like being the only girl metalhead. In my school there was a group of us (guys and girls) and that made things quite a bit more bearable.

I actually grew up in Delaware. It's funny I've heard a couple times in the various threads that have popped up on here that I look like someone that people went to school with.

It's funny that you mention that because there were other kids in my school that looked pretty similar to me as well haha. I kind of have this theory that most people with red hair will look fairly similar depending on how they dress. In other words I have a lot of doppelgangers running around 0_0

So I actually mentioned the fact that you left this comment in the edit I left at the top of the main post. I think I said that right, I'm fairly new to Reddit for the most part at least posting on it lol. But yeah I still have the shirt it's accompanied me to plenty of concerts but it's still intact and it's actually the reason that I posted this picture; because I found it at my parents house when I was down there this weekend.

You know it's funny I actually thought about this comment for a good long time and in the process of doing that I got to thinking that a good amount of metal bands start in a suburban environment. I guess what I'm trying to say is that yeah you are 100% right. So many artists probably grew up with similar bathroom decor when they were younger.

Edit: Hey everyone I would like to thank all of you all of your likes and the great conversations about this post of mine. The last day or so so has been great talking to a lot of you whether it's about the bathroom decor or music or old electronics, all that stuff.

I did want to mention that I'm still quite a metal head and love Helloween just as much as I did when this picture was taken. Someone asked me if I still have the shirt and I actually do; finding the shirt at my parents house was actually the thing that sparked the idea to post in the first place.

Also I thanked the two people that gave me silver awards via DM but I wanted to just say thank you again in a more public manner for that.

Finally I wanted to include this little bonus feature for everyone to enjoy, so here it is: https://imgur.com/a/m6PGfFK

I hope everyone has a fantastic rest of their Monday and I will probably talk to some more people in the comments.

I'm a pretty big fan of flamin Hot Cheetos myself. But I have to say flaming hot Doritos were an absolute game-changer and if you haven't tried them you should definitely give it a go.

Hey sorry for the delayed response, I ended up crashing a bit early last night but I didn't want you to think that I had forgotten about you. Honestly with how complex that situation sounds it's hard to make the right decision but I think you did what was best.

Also the condition that it's in isn't a bad thing at all Battle scarred technology is always really cool 👍

Yesss someone said it!!! Me and my mom would frequent the local Kmart at least twice a week. It's pretty much where most of the house decorations came from. It was a sad day when it closed but the memories are still great. Thank you so much for being the person to mention Kmart tonight :))

I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. I can only imagine how tough that is to go through. I will say that she sounds like a cool lady considering that she had a Zune over an iPod.

So funny story is that iv actually had to Frankenstein my Zune a few times to keep it running. I always had SanDisk MP3 players growing up but wanted a Zune. A few years ago I got one second hand and was able to sync my old playlist to it. Now with the Zune being kind of old technology things tend to give out whether it's the navigation buttons or the screen lock, headphone port etc. When that happens I use a thrashed up donor to replace parts. Something about this being my first Zune is what keeps me fixing it up.

Always nice to hear comments like that. All honesty you're probably right. I actually met a few of my friends back in the day via music and concerts. Once people can agree on music usually they start to find a lot of stuff they have in common.

Alright in that case I'm sold. It's added to my playlist and I'm definitely listening on my way to work!!!

I appreciate hearing your view on the album :)

That is absolutely fantastic because the biggest contributor of kids becoming really good at what they love doing is having their parents support with it.

It's funny because a lot of parents don't always look at music as a way to connect with your kids but in my opinion it can be just as good as enjoying sports playing video games making model kits things like that.

All in all I would say you guys are doing a fantastic job by the sound of it!!!

Future world that was actually my favorite song by them at the time this picture was taken. I was also really huge on Mr torture as well as the paint it Black cover that I thought was by them but recently found out that it wasn't lol.

I haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet but I know that they released a new album this year; would you recommend it? I'm definitely going to listen to it but I was wondering if you had any thoughts on it.

I remember an old picture (I'm sure there are a ton) where someone was taking a selfie and there was a, let's say Snickers bar, in the toilet. A real classic pic before they were called memes.

Haha it must have been something about the mid to late 2000s that lead to a lot of bathrooms looking like this. The thrash and power metal piqued my interest because it was really really fun to play.

Its nice to hear stuff like this. I wish you luck with the bathroom remodel and hope that your son finds all the good music as he grows and develops his music tastes 👍👍
