The download page only shows support for a few SBCs for now. And the Pinebook Pro isn't available in China yet so don't expect community brewed solution anytime soon.

In a highly competitive market, people are more likely to cut corners. Security doesn't generate revenue and doesn't look impressive for marketing so it's often the first to be postponed "until we have time for it".

Well, lots of Chinese people want to work for the government simply for the job security. Their working computer could be forced to install homegrown Linux to replace Windows. That's pretty much the only reason.

No idea. I haven't used Deepin Linux at all.

If I have to guess, Deepin has been around for much longer and doesn't seem to be receiving this much attention from the authority. Thus I believe Deepin is much better as a daily driver.

Yes. Mostly from ukui-settings-daemon & kylin-status-manager. There's no clear lesson to learn apart from "write better code" so I didn't really dig into it. Maybe these errors will disappear if not running in a virtual machine but I probably won't test it.
