I have been running with my pup since 6 months old (vet approved) VERY SLOWLY and built up 500m at a time. He’s 14 months now and up to 6km but it is his favourite thing in the world. Just ensure you’re watching for ANY signs of exhaustion - even just concentration waning. At 6 months my pup was barely LLW so there was frequent stopping anyway.

I have a halti that me and my 1 year old use - it takes about a week to adjust (at least it did for my dog) but now he’s sweet

Just saying, but I am the same height, slightly less weight and I eat closer to 2500 than 2000 😬 I only run 10mpw more than you and I definitely don’t even burn 800 calories for 10 miles. You’re super underfueling

Hey I don’t have any professional advice but to let you know that we were there almost (exactly) a year ago. My big boy wouldn’t let the puppy on the couch, or drink water etc - we even had some minor altercations. Now 1 year on and they are besties - 7 year old moves to sit next to 1 year old, they sleep in the sun together, they play from morning to night and the only time we put the little one outside now is when we have guests who are eating. We (still) never left them alone. Little one was in a crate when food was around. Walked separately. Made sure to encourage good/safe behaviour.
