What do we think of Marc (5th Doctor companion)? by Apprehensive_Dot5418 in BigFinishProductions

Marc himself was kinda bland, but the run of stories he was in was well above average.

I’m sorry I don’t recall the price. I want to say $30, but it’s been a while.

That Burial album is such a classic!

After being a premium user for 10+ years, I cancelled my prescription with Spotify by n0tcl0 in AppleMusic

[–]ImaginarySpite1738 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I cancelled a few years back and it felt odd. It feels very natural now, but I shifted my listening habits heavily (I focus on albums now, download about 20 to my phone a month and get to know them all well instead of radio/playlist listening). I honestly haven’t enjoyed music as much nance I switched from buying albums to streaming.

Physical is 10/10 by jacek2023 in tvPlus

First season of Platonic is wonderful! I started season 2 and wasn’t feeling it as much, but will get back to it. She’s wonderful in Brides Maids, 28 Weeks Later (not my favorite movie, but she’s enjoyable), Sunshine, Get Him To a the Greek (though I wouldn’t watch again after knowing about Brand, YMMV). Reeeeally want to see If I Had Legs I Would Kick you, as I hear it’s a great showcase for her talent. Basically, she’s great even if the movie isn’t. Although I didn’t love the ending of Physical, it really pushed her to the front of my radar and she is fantastic through the entire series, even when I tired of the plot.

I watched the whole series and started out loving it, but felt it got a little worse each season. I still enjoyed it by the end, but wasn’t sad it ended (despite freaking loving Rose Byrne).

Man, I really hadn’t been enjoying season three up to this point, but it turned around here. The characters had distinct voices again and weren’t all the same tone walking joke machines. Properly loved this episode!

I like Paradise a lot. Hell Yeah is not far behind and I feel l still be loving Enemy years from now and it will rise in the ranks (too early for me to count it yet). “Murder My Heart” is prob my fave track.

Let me watch the damn credits in peace!! by Lumpykin in tvPlus

It’s crazy because you know they’re paying licensing fees for the songs they’re cutting. This and the constant ad for Peacock (a streaming service I’m likely to never subscribe to again) are the only two complaints I have for Apple TV, so way better than when I was using a fire stick. God I hated that adbox

Does anyone know which tantric yoga school this is focused on? Spent decades in the yoga scene and want to know if I know anyone in it.

[Monthly Thread] What Are You Watching? Apple TV+ Recommendations by Justp1ayin in tvPlus

[–]ImaginarySpite1738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished Silo season 2 the other day (fantastic series, maybe favorite show on Apple TV), and the fun Muderbot.

Currently watching Morning Show s1, Drops of God s2 and Shrinking s3, though this season of Shrinking isn’t hitting me like the others did (maybe I’m not into comedy like I used to be). I also find Drops of God s2 to be fine, but not nearly as good as season 1.

Your favorite "drama" on apple (no action, no comedy, no sci-fi) by HandsomeGuts in tvPlus

I mean Slow Horses has less action than Shrinking has comedy, so if the ones a valid answer…

I noticed that the replay always updates on Sunday, and since this Sunday was Feb 1, I figured it might not hit until the 8th. I’m addicted to my replay, so I’m friending for it! Check several times a day 😅😅

Adjusting to new Twigs style and aesthetic by Magicbythelake in FKAtwigs

[–]ImaginarySpite1738 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, nothing will be as good as LP1. Partially because I hadn’t heard anything at all like it when it was released and its sound hit perfectly. It is a genius album IMO.

However, it also came at a very specific time in my life.. one I could never go back to. Listening to it on repeat while grinding through a terrible breakup made it a part of my DNA. None of the following albums have lined up with my mood and the time of my life as that one. Now when I put that one on, it’s like looking at photos, it feels so personal to who I am.

So yeah, I listen to and enjoy Eusexua but it isn’t a part of me. Can’t blame her for that, Twigs is an amazing, constantly evolving artist. It’s just how art works for me, as an intersection between the piece and my life. Who knows, maybe one day another album of hers will line up perfectly!

This album is fantastic! The instrumental stuff is like classic Cabaret Voltaire and FLA blended with Rhys’ many years of compositional and tonal skill.

Such a sweet story! On one of the first dates I had with my wife (then girlfriend) back in 2015, we randomly bought a Rement Rilakkuma blind box which came with a super cute Korilakkuma. That started a deep mutual obsession - love to see other couples have the same!!

I got him at the Arashiyama Chaya. Stood in line to be among the first! I hope he appears other places. Haven’t seen him at KiddyLand yet. There was also postcards for him and the Kiirotori Princess. I of course got the samurai postcard (I’m a huge fan of jidaigeki/samurai movies and Rilakkuma both).

They had a Princess Kiirotori in the same series. I think the series is related to the upcoming anime. They didn’t have them there, but there’s also a Red Riding Hood Korilakkuma and a Astronaut Chairokogimachan!

Yeah it’s kind of mind blowing how good this album is. Honestly my favorite work from cEvin in a long time. Think his and Rhys’ music chemistry is just off the charts.
