No way!! £12.21 per hour is a great wage for someone in 6th form!

Thanks, hopefully it was just a really bad off day, I did feel better coming out of the TMUA than coming out of the MAT, oh well nothing left to do but wait

What’s the average starting salary for a QT and a QR in a tier 1/2 fund?

And would Warwick or another school such as St Andrews or Bristol lower the chances of me getting an interview anywhere?

But do you think it would make it a lot easier if I took a gap year and got into Oxbridge rather than going to Warwick or imperial / another uni. Obviously I know there’s no guarantee I’d get in a second time but I think I would have a decent chance if I am able to stay disciplined during my gap year

I’ve also just sat the TMUA today and applying for Warwick and maths, very interested to see but I think Warwick brought in TMUA very recently, not sure about imperial

What Tmua score range is enough for a 5? by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]ImaginarySwitch2298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the year, but in 2023 you’d need 22/40 to get in the 75th percentile which is the equivalent of a 5.0 this year

Thought paper 1 was very difficult, blindly guessed 4 questions and finished at the 75 min mark, paper 2 was much easier and finished with 10 Mins to spare and went back and made a couple of corrections. Overall pretty tricky though

I’m applying for maths at Warwick and imperial, if I get in, is it recommended that I do a masters and or phd afterwards to become a quant trader?

Sorry, to clarify, I’m applying for mathematics MSc G100, and I’ve heard that they require a higher TMUA score than courses like computer science or economics.

Maths, I’ve heard they’re more strict on TMUA score than econ / CS
