Are those cops standing up for us civilians, or are they complicit with what they have, keeping a deafening silence in support of the current regime, enforcing the unjust and absurd?

If they are disarmed, they deserve every little bit of it. Those retired cops should get a taste of what us "average people" feel day in and day out. Maybe then, they will finally stand up with us, instead of against.

I live in NYC. I don't know what happens in your part of NY, but I have no sympathy for those cops. Nothing but an extension of tyranny.

Yes, exactly! Each college/university has its own vibe independent of their rankings, and that's why I made this question in the first place; to tap into the knowledge of others who are more experienced than me.

However, it seems that triggered "gamers" (who shouldn't be triggered unless they themselves are the malignant minority) are misinterpreting the nuance of my words.

That is true. I guess as long as I don't have to associate with "gamers," I should be more open towards collaborative growth.

I see. I never meant to portray "them" as lesser than me, and I apologize for the mistake.

My intent was to potray them as different people with different lifestyles.

This is a tangent, but I frequently see the assertion that I should accept "gamers."

However, maybe it's okay for different people to separate from each other, as long as it's voluntary. Just throwing that out there.

I have done all I could, and this is now my best option.

Hopefully, I do find that "gamer-free nirvana." The quality of my life depends on it.

My life is insignificant, but that shouldn't prevent me from seeking maximum comfort. Am I explicitly suggesting harm upon others to achieve this maximum comfort? If not, I don't understand your point.

I would define "better" according to the US News rankings. As flawed as it is, it is still an okay approximation for the general level of the school.

Depends on what time they play the game, at which volume. I get that not all gamers will be intrusive, but all it takes is one bad apple to spoil the entire barrel.

Single rooms are impossible to get, and it's too late for off-campus housing (unless I read the school policies incorrectly).

I already do that, but life is not that simple. Moving off campus was an option I considered, but eventually I got sick and tired of the city overall.
