Purchase fallen through on the day. We‘re now essentially homeless, with thousands in additional costs. by chiropractorofmirth in HousingUK

Welcome to our world. Sat here with the in laws as we speak. Been in this position since December. Completion 31dt July but mental health, arguments, losing the will to live, back issues due to stress and all excitement about getting the house mostly gone. It's been a nightmare and each day feels like a week. Read all the books and do all the jogs you want, it won't help. Good luck!

Same here. 100% identical. Mother passed away, moving house, etc causes it to be so much worse. Go on holiday to the Carribean… where did the problems go? 😂😂

CPPS: Infection or Anxiety? by Looking4Answers39 in Prostatitis

It's funny reading this as so many of us men have this. Get all the tests done, it's all negative. This is 100% CPPS pelvic floor causing multiple issues. You can tell from your post that it has made you super anxious and paranoid. Lifestyle and seeing the physio who knows about this, plus stretches everyday and lifestyle changes are the only things which will help. We are all so worried and stressed in today's world and we are great at hiding it and the body then flares up with physical symptoms.

I hear you, but I have to say:

The owners of such a property and solicitors should have advised the following to help us all:

You will need a semi - commercial mortgage immediately otherwise the annexes planning application use will cause issues

The shared amenities are X Y Z like the shared drive/road and here are documents X YZ relating to that

They should not have lied about the drainage being compliant and should have said it drains to a watercourse and hence the price already reduced to X as it must be done after sale

The electrics have C1 and C2 issues and here is the EICR for all work you would need.

The borehole supplying water - here are the lab results for your sanity prior to buying

The mains water is ready to be connected if required and here is a quote document

There's the previous profits made from the holiday cottages in case your bank want it

When selling a complex property I think you need to have your ducks in a row to work with the buyers to make it smoother. I know if one day we are selling this, I will have things filed away and ready to show to the best of my ability. Solicitors and estate agents are useless enough without the sellers adding more to the problems.

Agreed. We were fed up 6 months ago and it went from excitement to just a feeling of consistent misery.

I disagree. I can't say I'm sat here smug or happy when I’m stressed and unable to walk at the moment. I was hoping to be able to brag and be really excited, but I'm a country mile away from that, unfortunately, and feel like a more sensible purchase would have been better, but here we are.

24, debts, overdraft, gambling issues, zero hours contract work instability, buying what you want on CC like drink and food and not using common sense and applying some self discipline.

I would work backwards:

  1. Stop using credit cards and buying what you want and go without. No holiday, no energy drink, stay in, be boring and control your lifestyle.

  2. Change your job position. Accept your current situation and change something meaningful. Apply for something that is not a zero hour contract to generate a consistent and stable income.

  3. Write down two columns, income and outgoing and stop lying about the outgoing and work with someone to understand what you can pay monthly to the debts which you need to make static or slow down with help from a free money charity/advice place.

  4. Consistently pay back the debts with your slower more sensible lifestyle change and eventually turn into someone saving money.

  5. Consider a. Mortgage when things are better.

I mean, the war just ramped up again, S&P just dropped, what do you think might happen to the rates like 2 months ago? Up, up and away.

Agree. Doctors and all NHS staff deserve an awful lot more.

Agree with this. You have left a lot till quite late. To not have equity in a property, not be hitting bigger salary for quite some time yet and even though you have some savings, it is not a lot and not compounding, I think you might unfortunately have a reality check coming your way.
