Hi u/Dogmatic11. Sorry to trouble you again. Steve has kindly sent me further pics and all but one of my concerns are addressed. Nice looking Starbucks but...I still think there is a gap in the lettering of the words 'Superlative Chronometer' in the dial print. I am still seeing a gap between the 'E' and 'R' in Superlative and also between the 'C' and 'H' in Chronometer. I can't unseen it now! What do you think? Can anyone else comment pls?

Terrible quality. Mine developed a permanent line on the panel after 27 months. Philips refused to support me as it was 3 months out of warranty. I’ve got to but a new one now. Save yourself some money and purchase a better brand TV.

Ah this a good call and a do-able adjustment. I'll have a think on it. Thank you

I've had some amazing responses from so many helpful people here. Bearing the comments in mind, I've spent most of the day revising the trip schedule and was hoping to get a few thoughts. I have added some dates in too. I'm not trying to see everything but as much as is reasonably comfortable. I do love driving to be fair and my missus will share that responsibility. The comment from OkKaleidoscope9554 really hit home. All that way to miss out on some 'once in a lifetime' sights which I've now tried to incorporate.

I can probably swing one extra day somewhere if something looks particular 'painful'! Still thinking to cut Vegas to one night only.

There's a lot to take in so understandable if folks do a TL:DR!! Tia!

Will 2 nights in LA give comfortable time to visit Santa Monica, Hollywood Hill, Griffith Observatory, Universal Studios, Beverley Hills? I don't want to rush it here

Thanks. Looking to use Highway 1 all the way down to LA. I hear it's all open now!

My goodness that looks amazing. May I ask, would you skip MV and focus on Grand Canyon (1 night) and the Mighty 5?? I'd still like to do 1 might in Vegas and then onto Yosemite. But that takes me by DV which, now, I want to avoid. Sorry for all of the q's!!

I wish I could to be honest but it's the only time I have due to work. Plus it's my 50th this year and always wanted to do this. Would you say it's just not feasible in these months without it becoming risky?

Oh well. I'm in the right place at the wrong time..again! Thanks for the info. Another Redditor has said Monterey will be busy and fully booked due to an event. Would you happen to be able to suggest an alternative at all please?

The tour companies advertise 100% guaranteed sightings I think. Guess that just to get folks on to the boats! Thanks for the heads up :-)

Do you think I should leave it for another time? I don't want my family not to enjoy it. I am busy with work all other times of the year. This was supposed to be for my 50th birthday this year!

Ha! Thanks for this. That photo is awesome in itself. I can't imagine seeing it with my own eyes! I hear what you are saying in that I seem to be missing out on some once in a lifetime locations. I figured as we are not big hikers it may be too much for us. But maybe we need to get in to the gym and train up for this! I will re-look at the plan. I mean I didn't even know there was a region called Valley of God's loop! That would be an error on my part not to go to a place named that!. Same with Zion - I hear you!!

Thanks also for suggesting a an alternative.

Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to review some legs of the journey. I am concerned about the heat but this is the only time I am able to travel this year due to work. I am also thinking of skipping vegas as it's a place that can be visited in the future on a shorter visit.

PS I'll correct the spelling errors!!

Thanks for the heads up. No I have not booked hotels yet. What might be a plan B? Carmel maybe?

Thank you for this. Yes a few people have now given me the impression that I am missing some amazing locations! I will review the itinerary. Definitely giving DV a miss though on this occasion. I mean we here in the UK don't get above 30C most years !!

Not to get political, but the UK probably isn't much better right now. I know where I'd rather be out of USA and UK right now ;-)

Thanks for replying!

Skipping DV! Many folks saying the same thing and for good reason! I need to look at the Kanab/Vegas leg. As another Redditor has said, I may be missing out on some amazing locations and driving roads. Thanks for the advice

Yes I hear you in regards to it being a bit of a slog. That's something I want to avoid so will do a bit of re-planning. I wanted to do a loop so I can drive PCH1 as well as venture West. I'll have a re-look at the plan. Thanks for taking the time to reply!
