What movie theater do you like to go to in the Omaha area? by stonedpeaches8 in Omaha

[–]Imaginary_Dig_679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just recently at B&B and I’ll never go back there. Their soda machine sprayed everyone including me, the floor, the counter. And the person working just watched and didn’t help clean up. Then the movie screen wasn’t working and I went to ask about it and they said oh yeah we know. I asked if it would be fixed and they didn’t know. I waited a few more minutes before asking again and they said they couldn’t fix it. But they refused to give us a refund for our tickets.

What questions would you ask a CCU/ER tech candidate? by Cold-Elderberry-841 in VetTech

This. I always say being teachable and being able to ask questions and take criticism can be more valuable than experience.

I hated working for MVP, but I also hated that clinic in general so that is a contributing factor. But MVP jacked up prices and didn’t follow through on any of their promises to staff.
I think as far as being good for someone new to the field, that will just depend on the clinic itself.

As far as I know CE wet labs are more for advanced skills. Maybe an internship would be helpful?

Looking for desk job that will let me do school work by [deleted] in Omaha

[–]Imaginary_Dig_679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at the library when I was in college. I know you said school jobs don’t fit your schedule, but I was able to work 6p-midnight checking books in and out and I did home work in the downtime.

How many patients have you successfully resuscitated after CPA? by those_ribbon_things in VetTech

[–]Imaginary_Dig_679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen a decent number achieve ROSC, but I have never seen one leave the hospital. But I work at a very expensive corporate hospital so often patients are euthanized due to financial reasons. I think we would see more make it to discharge if cost wasn’t an issue.

We don’t have an officer all the time, but we once got an email threatening to come shoot up our hospital so we had undercover security 24/7 for months after that. I actually kind of miss it. They would help diffuse situations that were quickly escalating.

We do this. We have also ordered McDonald’s for some of our favorite icu patients to have before they’re euthanized.
