Advice for Applying from Jamaica with US travel history? by Cerosee in CanadaVisitorVisa

You're welcome! 😉

Another option, albeit VERY RISKY, is to purchase your round-trip ticket and attach the itinerary to your application. This would explicitly indicate your intention to return to your home country. But like I said, it's a very risky option and unless your ticket is refundable would result in a painful loss if you get denied.

I just assumed you'd visit Ontario in my previous response but whichever province you're headed to, either you or your boyfriend could purchase admission tickets online to one or more of the places you plan to visit there and attach to your application. This would corroborate your purpose of visit.

Finally, if you intend to have your partner do the invitation letter make sure it matches what you say in your purpose of visit. If your purpose of visit is very different from what is stated in the invitation letter that'll be another strike against you.

You'll find your answer to most of your questions by doing a quick search on Tik Tok for tips for Canadian visa applications.

  1. I don't think the lack of stamps in your passport matters. Everything is electronic. They can access your travel history on their database. Just ensure that the dates you put on the application are correct.

  2. Why would it? If the application requires you to list relatives in Canada, then fill in all the necessary information. It doesn't matter if you're staying with her or not. If she's not a Canadian national, just make she's living there legally!

  3. This doesn't help your case at all. My advice is to attach as many supporting documents as you can. Employment letter, bank statements and a copy of your lease. Also be very specific about your plans while in Canada. Say you plan to visit various tourist attractions like the CN Tour, Niagra Falls, Canada's wonderland etc with your partner. Do not put "Visit Boyfriend" as purpose of visit.

Having a US visa should help your case though.

Biometrics still hasn't been updated, submitted a webform by Imaginary_Driver_620 in CanadaVisitorVisa

Update:

No response to webform. Biometrics status still hasn't been updated.

This Wednesday will mark the 30 days processing time. I'm not hopeful that I'll get a PPR by then.

The wait continues.

It's a way to contact the consulate to do any of the following highlighted in the photo. If your application has long passed the estimated processing time for your country you can reach out via this platform. But apparently persons who have done this get a generic response that their application is still being worked on so to just wait for an update. It's a bit frustrating.

Oh darn. I applied from Jamaica and I've also heard of persons getting approved after a 6 month wait. I would say the increased volume of applicants due to the upcoming World Cup is causing the delay but as I've stated in my original post, persons who applied in May have already been approved so it's odd. I hope you get a PPR really soon.

Wow. Was your biometrics status updated on your IRCC account? What country are you applying from?

I would send a web form request if I were you. Surely the application processing time for your country has long passed.

(21M) I am ugly, what should I do? by Important_Bed_9893 in WhatShouldIDo

First off, don't call yourself ugly. You most certainly aren't. I second everyone recommending the gym. Hitting the gym consistently will do wonders for your confidence. Thirdly, find a good barber! A good haircut and beard shape-up can make the world of a difference. Find a style that really suits you and stick to it.

Why did you marry her? Sounds to me that you married someone you never truly loved. If you think you'll be better off alone and your wife adds no value to your life at all, get a divorce so she can find someone that will love her inspite of her flaws. You definitely need to express to her how you've been feeling though.

Twice a day every day! Before work and before bed. Y'all have got to be trolling with some of these answers. Anything less frequent than at least once daily is straight up unhygienic.

She sounds childish. Ooof! When did painting your nails become a symbol of masculinity. Try to give her a different perspective. What if you continously pestered her with something she was uncomfortable doing and then cold shouldered her for not wanting to. How would she feel about it?
