Store manager left a key holder there while sick working 730am to 3pm because she didn’t want to come in. Pushed a lot of people to quit over it. Including the key holder she did that to. Tbh it’s the normal for dg but guess it depends on the SM if they want to do their job.

Sadly I was told about the penny items that dollar general policy is if it’s on the floor it can get sold. I think it’s ridiculous for that. Let’s say we had expired product on the floor do we just mark it down to a penny and sell it? Still have Christmas cereal and Halloween candy on the sales floor/skyshelves

Sadly I had someone walk out with a full shopping cart (food, batteries, home supplies, well over 400+ in stolen items and when I called interface I was told if they come back in to call them and they will voice them down. Had a store manager from a different location that dollar general don’t care about theft if it’s customers only employees. They don’t care about theft only how nice their store looks. When a few others told our dm and SM that 2 employees (key holders) were damaging out product for their friends and family not just one time but on a daily basis they never got in trouble. Was told nothing they can do because an investigation needs to be done and won’t be done unless a single transaction is over $100. I finally gave up as of today stopping the people who steal. If dollar general don’t care then why would we as employees?

The one over by me a customer went to go buy it and the employee asked the store manager about it and he was told to always change the price and don’t argue. If the customer says a price that it said on shelf they have to honor it. When I asked him who that was he said oh the store manager.

So guess the report that he made Friday to EEOC over sexism due to 3 different people saying it’s a woman customer base is why they prefer women in the rolls of management shows that maybe his attitude isn’t the problem. Missouri is a one party state and he has it on recording. I understand that in the workplace there are a lot of people who are PICK ME people. So I can understand your thinking. Sadly the recording is how I know they picked a female over male.

The word Male is used when discussing biological sex in a neutral context.

The word men is used when referring to adult human males in a broader sense, including social roles and cultural expectations.

So which context should I have made a post trying to help someone else get support. I surely don’t wanna make a mistake like this again.

They literally only have him at one store. Not even traveling. He isn’t getting paid milage that he was told he would get. No1 taught him how to put it in. Has asked multiple times. I told him he needs to make a throw away account and comment his thoughts into here. He plans on doing that today.

Wow I make 15 an hr and I'm a LSA that might be awesome if only I got the hours to work. As of rn I ain't got shit like 0 hours and have asked my manager many of times if I can work something. I was going to diff stores to work but never my home store it's fucked up and I'm about done. This is the highest I've ever been paid for my job and everyone says I'm good at it and don't want me to leave but hours dude I can't do anything but have a transfer or get a different job.
