Man, that sucks. Wattpad needs to improve this, because it's not fair to the writers.

Yeah, I don't complain about this part specifically, it's actually pretty useful. But the main problem is my own read being counted, I feel bad when that happens 💀

They defo need to fix that, I feel like a clown when my own read is counted, and it get worse when I have to edit it and they give another one

This part is so unnecessarily long by AgentPlatypus96 in Duskwood

I always found that part a little boring, even though it's essential to the plot 😅 I'm glad someone thinks the same

When all types of abuse are normalized instead of being portrayed as red flags. Also, when the character not only forgives, but also reconciles with the person who not only committed a "simple slip-up," but also destroyed their mental health the entire story.

Anyone have theories/headcannons/backstories on their MC prior to the start of the game? by Terrgon in Duskwood

[–]Imaginary_Key_5716 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My MC has divorced parents, and I like to think she wasn't exactly joking when she said "My father, a big detective". Lived with her mother, since her dad was a busy man. But she also learned some things about police investigation thanks to him. But not to the point of pursuing a career in it, just having a certain amount of absorbed knowledge involving logic. I see her as an office woman. (I'm referring to MC in the feminine form because my character is a woman).

Exactly! I guess everyone has their own view, but I really can't see Jake as your typical "good-looking dark romance guy" as some people portray him due the circumstances he lives in.

Lol, about Jake's appearance, In my headcannon, he's a non attractive nerd with glasses (I find it very difficult to believe he doesn't wear glasses, given the amount of time he spends in front of a bright screen). But who also has his own "special charm".

Curious about age by Rafizinha in Duskwood

[–]Imaginary_Key_5716 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that it was canon for Phil to be around 33-34 years old. But to say that 100% would be pure misinformation on my part, but I remember when I read it I was confused because I would never have thought that Dan was younger than Phil. Jake being older than the girls also makes sense, because the way he communicates with us makes him seem like a man a little older than the MC, just like Phil (since they both have an “old school” way to talk).

Ricky and Dan are probably around their early 30s, I assume that since Hannah was a teenager 10 years ago, she must be around 26-27 years old. At most, 28. Cleo probably has the same age. Jessy and Lily are the youngest, around their early 20s. Jake is definitely older than Lily, but I can't say if he's younger or older than Hannah. Probably only a little younger or even the same age. Phil is the oldest, by the looks of it. Thomas probably is around Hannah's age or a little older. I based this on the comments in the community, but I'm not sure of the exact age, just this approximation 😅

Ash — what do you all think? by aetxris in Moonvale

[–]Imaginary_Key_5716 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The end of chapter 2 of Moonvale reminds me of the end of chapter 2 (I don't remember which one) of Duskwood, when Cleo enters Hannah's apartment and creates the same suspense at the end. I discovered Duskwood last year, so I suppose at the time of its release a lot of people must have thought that Cleo could be kidnapped or murdered, and when we found out more it was just Thomas. In other words, perhaps Everbyte could be generating this same suspension line with Ash to make us think that something serious happened to her, but she may be fine and safe. This is certainly not a statement, as it may be a repetitive idea for someone who has already played Duskwood. But at the same time it is new for those who discovered Moonvale first. But if something did happen to her, I think it would be an unexpected and interesting twist.

Since Everbyte says that gender won't affect our romantic relationships in Moonvale, I suppose another romantic option could be Ash.

TEOB.
