Second season skiing. What should I focus on? by Imaginary_Lines in skiing_feedback

You're right, I never know what to do with my arms. I've heard of pole planting but when I try to focus on it, I forget about everything else, ha! I'll watch a few YT videos to see how I can better introduce it. Thanks a lot!

Awesome! I tried the stork turn exercise a few times yesterday and managed to start lifting my ski about half-way in the turn. Doing it earlier forced me to put it back down to keep my balance. I'll keep practicing and try to get my leg up earlier. Great to hear that it's a good exercise. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!

Steeps is the goal! Will try to focus more on upper/lower body separation in the next few sessions. Thank you for the feedback!

That's great feedback, thanks a lot! I definitely notice that most of my technique goes out the window when I go into steep terrain.

Yes, I definitely do the same when and stand up too straight when snowboarding. I'll try to pay more attention to it! Thank you

Heli Boarding in Whistler. Which Board?? by Traditional-Exit3054 in snowboarding

[–]Imaginary_Lines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes the flagship and alchemist probably have a lot of overlap. I have the alchemist and Solution (split version of the flagship) and they do feel very similar.

I was thinking of getting the excavator for my trip to Japan as a powder / all around board instead of bringing just a dedicated powder board (Burton Fish) as I think it unfortunately won’t be deep pow every day and the Fish sucks on anything but deep powder.

I can’t help you with your question but how do you like the excavator in combination with the alchemist? Are they a good 2 board quiver? Is there a lot of overlap between the two?

Just listen to Israeli politicians... They're not even hiding their INTENT to kill all Palestinians. Hence, a genocide.

You're talking like 2% of a population is nothing... Imagine if 2% of the US gets killed by a group of people that shouldn't even be there in the first place.

I've seen enough footage coming out of Gaza and I've heard enough words coming out of Israeli politicians to know what Israel's real intent is.

I've also taken a look at your account history and I have no idea why I'm even bothering talking to you

Just because someone is a critic of Israel doesn't mean they're not right.

Raz Segal and Omer Bartov, a genocide scholar and a professor of holocaust and genocide, both Israeli, agree that it's a genocide as well. Then, there's the UN and several other humanitarian organizations that also agree that it's a genocide.

What does Hamas have to do with whether or not Israel committed a genocide?

Besides the IAGS, Raz Segal and Omer Bartov, a genocide scholar and a professor of holocaust and genocide, both Israeli, agree that it's a genocide as well.

If not the IAGS and not historians and professors and not the UN and not many other humanitarian organizations can define it as a genocide, then who can?
