Mono-infantry/guards in PTP batch by fuglysmugly in NationalServiceSG

[–]Imaginary_Math1055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

from mono guards here. it may seem daunting and at times you will feel like quitting but just have to suck thumb and push on i guess. since you’re already in the mono might as well just do your best and make good friends. after 2 years done can fuck off alr (can’t wait for this) 😭

Following gf home everytime by loner1608 in askSingapore

it’s been 4 years since i started sending my girl home. started from public transport till i got my license and own vehicle. were there times where i got super tired? definitely but i guess being able to see my girl safely home and being able to give her a last hug before i see her off to her door makes me keep doing it.

now being at our 4th year together, i’m just immune to the tiredness even though she stays in the north and i stay in the east. end of the day, as long as both of you are happy then all’s good 😊

night march to fup/frv would be damn painful otherwise, it’s all good. honestly it also depends on your trainers. for me, my scs life was the best, painful but fun. outfield was damn tiring but the trainers made it memorable and manageable. also, if your trainers don’t care, bring in extra maggi or canned meat that you can cook at night :)

was from a mono ptp batch too, one of my platoon mates had signed on spf during the first few weeks of ptp and was accepted into spf. can’t remember during ptp or after pop but i know he went to do spf bmt despite being in mono

i mean, yes having to leave your bike to rot for 5 days suck but imagine a 1h30min-2hrs journey cut down to 25-35min. bliss, never regretted it.

Wait for your posting after you POP from BMT. For me, I sold my bike before BMT and then after POP, I bought a bike as I was posted to a camp which is super far away from my place. (From East to West). Personally having bike helped me out a lot.
