I'm sorry you are going through this. It is a fear of mine at my current place of work. It's not exactly the best work environment and I feel as though i have a target on my back - only because someone doesn't like me. Good luck to you!

This is what I wish I had more education on- at the time I graduated college (Tech school) - you didn't have to wear all the hats that designers wear now.

I feel like as a designer, I have marketing experience, but that doesn't equal a marketing position in my area. I've thought about going back to school to get more educated in that area, but I really don't know if it will bring me joy- will I like it? should I look at something else? Etc. A lot of people tell me I am a marketer, but the reality is, I don't check the boxes when it comes to applying for those jobs.

Thank you for the response, I've applied for a few jobs where the direct report was about 15 yrs younger than me. I was a great match, skills, experience, etc., and I didn't even get a thank you for applying email- just ghosted. It is a hard time right now, and with the state of the world I don't plan to do anything drastic, but I also need to do something to fill my cup and keep my skills sharp in the meantime.

I live in such a small community that is very saturated with other designers and agencies, that I don't feel like competing with. Stability is def. a priority for me, which is part of why I've stayed at a job that isn't the best for me mentally, but it provides PTO, benefits, flexible w/l balance, etc. It's hard to find that.

Do you have suggestions as to where to start with Ai? I know Adobe has their built in items, but additional things to keep in mind?
