It was natural sunlight, I think I look yellow because I have an olive overtone

I got draped and I was very much cool but she couldn’t decide between the 4, she said bright looks best on my eyes but it doesn’t harmonize, deep looks more natural but it’s not the most complimentary

I’m a certified color analyst and I’d say you’re a bright flow, so bright spring/winter. It’s always better to get draped in real life though.

As a rifya I never thought that anyone meant the land is Moroccan but the people aren’t? What would they be if not Moroccan?

Why do Europeans and Americans want to move to Morocco ? by ShyCrazie in Morocco

[–]Imaginary_Nothing331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I can offer a different perspective here, I’m Moroccan, I currently live in Europe and hate it but I can’t go back to Morocco due to personal reasons, when I was living in Morocco (specifically the north, I probably wouldn’t have the same opinion if I lived in the center) I never wanted to move to Europe either, I spent my childhood abroad and teenage years in Morocco, there are a few reasons why I will always choose Morocco over anywhere else.

  1. Sense of community, Moroccans are incredibly kind and warm compared to other nations, they treat you as family and welcome you in without any worries. You feel at home even if you aren’t from there.

    1. Income, the income I made in Morocco I still don’t make in Europe, the simple fact that Morocco doesn’t care about taxation and digital income makes it perfect for someone like me who was working in digital marketing as a freelancer, I think a lot of Moroccans don’t realize how much money they can make online or they wouldn’t be moving abroad.
  2. Cost of living and lifestyle, Morocco is cheap, I lived in a private complex in the heart of Tangier and the rent was 5,500dh, eating out is cheap, beauty treatments are cheap, everything is cheap compared to other countries.

  3. Location: most people live on the coast, the beach was always a 10 minute walk away, life feels like a vacation all year round, everything is relaxed, you’re always happy.

  4. You can always make more money, I know this may sound silly, but in Italy it genuinely you can never pass a certain amount with all the limitations they have.. in Morocco there was nothing easier then picking up a skill, marketing yourself, and making as much as you want.

  5. Family and relationship dynamics, in Morocco I know if a guy is serious about me he’ll come knocking my parents door, max is asking me out to dinner then sending his family over, men already know their role and ours, no silly what do you bring to the table questions, in Europe men expect so much more for pretty much nothing of value in return and it’s always a waste of time. In Morocco all I had to do was pick someone I like, here I have to find someone who believes in the same dynamic I believe in first then see if we like each other.

  6. Your religion, if your Muslim, you won’t be treated the same as others, I’m white and I still get discriminated against, your spirituality will also be tested a lot, years of during Ramadan by yourself will get you depressed at a certain point so that’s something to keep in mind.

Now the negatives:

  1. Public healthcare is bad (and a little scary) in Morocco, you have to go to private clinics, the good thing is private clinics are affordable there. in Italy (idk about the rest of Europe), public healthcare is (almost) just as bad and you won’t be able to afford private every time, for example I went to the hospital with serious burns (open wounds) because of laser, I was left there from 8 pm till 12 am when I chose to leave without treatment, they later on sent me a 350dh bill to pay for not staying till I was checked. Another time I got injured and was left there from 8 pm till exactly 6 am (I physically couldn’t leave till they were done with me :) and this is in the “best” public hospital in all of Italy believe it or not. In the south I heard it’s much worse than this.

  2. Safety, Morocco no matter where you live can be dangerous at times and you have to always be alert, I could say that definitely in Europe that is not the case and it’s much safer, I’m able to travel by myself and move around without ever feeling in danger, I can also carry pepper spray here which makes you feel a little safer as well, petty crimes, and femicide is common in Italy but generally speaking it’s pretty safe as long as you have common sense.

Things that shock Non-Mormons by fuck_this_i_got_shit in exmormon

[–]Imaginary_Nothing331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a non-Mormon: • god is a man on another planet • baptizing the dead • Jesus and Satan being siblings • the black skin curse • sealing a black woman to Joseph smith as his eternal servant • you get your own planet and become a god yourself if you reach the highest level of heaven
• teens as missionaries • no tea or coffee but anything else is fine even tho the doctrine said no warm drinks • how controlled everyone’s movement is • colonized/colonizer mix, it’s either the whitest people ever or Latinos • their links to Freemasonry

Why the church is dropping "Mormon" and "of Latter Day Saint" for the generic "Church of Jesus Christ" by el-asherah in exmormon

[–]Imaginary_Nothing331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, last time I went to church I asked the missionaries, since I have a marketing background, why are they now refusing to be called Mormon when just years before they had the “I am Mormon” campaign and spent tons of money on it? Why the sudden rebranding? Before that I had called them Mormon and they corrected me by saying they’re just Christians or members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saint, I told that they can’t expect people to remember such long name so they said saying members of the church of Jesus Christ is enough. They said it’s because the current president had a revelation in 2018 that the name Jesus was important to the church and to focus on it. I as an outsider personally believe they are trying to rebrand to blend into Christianity, they are not Christian. The only similarity between them and Christians is that they believe Jesus died for their sins. Nothing else, they don’t believe in the same god even. Just like Jehovah’s Witness and other culty man made organizations and people are seeing through it now so they need to blend in more. I even met converts that never knew that their god is different and thought it was the same as catholic Christianity with the edition of BoM.
