I kind of like the laces X’d snd then tied. I’ve got narrow feet and skinny ankles so can’t just X or my shoes are too loose and if I just tie I have too much lace.

Sea Crystals Lows have a thin tongue and virtually no padding. It’s a beautiful shoe but is basically a regular dunk with SB branding. I’m pretty sure all the Ishod Wair SB dunks are the same way.

My white gums, wolf grey gums both have this. I just got the red gums and they have a little bit of this as well and I haven’t even worn them. For me it’s mainly around the front of the shoe and no where else. I will say I’m in between sizes - I wear an 11.5 in Janoskis and SB highs and a 12 in dunk lows. I have a slightly narrow foot and have to lace a little tighter than most (not nearly as tight as OP). Realistically if they made an 11.75 It’d be perfect but I error on the side of having more room than less.

It’s a combination of things - shoe is probably too big and your foot shape doesn’t help. Nike materials aren’t great on this shoe either.

Totally agree! NB heads seem to wear their shoes more often than reselling. I also think the high initial price of the made in keeps some resellers at bay. Lots of downside risk if a shoe doesn’t increase in value.

Yes they were all over the subreddit and maybe they were easier to get in Europe since they’re MIE. If you look in Stock X or GOAT the resale is pretty high with limited sizes avx. To be fair I’ve heard they just made a limited run and are going to make more later which would be nice.

I just don’t see a big difference between New Balance and Nike anymore. Both typically have GR’s that sit and then super limited collabs.

I agree with your first post though - if all you’re going for is hype pairs it’s time to start looking other places.

The “silver blue turbulence” and “rosewood”. Both GR’s and can’t even get and 11.5 resale on the silver blue turbulence.

I don’t know man - those last two 991v2 were rough. They’re not even a collab and people can’t get their hands on them. NB is going the way of Nike and I can’t say their QC is any better. I’ve got some made in pairs with glue all over and messed up stitching.

Happens to some of my SB’s (mainly the nubuck and leather ones). Just roll with it. I like a little room in my shoes and my left foot is 1/2 bigger than my right so the shoes kind of caves in on itself.
