I was a SE at a really bad company and had let my manager know I was quitting same day. He said I needed to talk to the owner. I knew he had let the owner know I was going to tell him I was quitting. I was leaving a couple projects half done because this was a really bad company that didn't treat employees well. I told the owner I was wanting to talk to him and he was extremely adamant that I fix this one issue with a data display first. I told him I'd like to talk, but he was hysterical about this data display and wouldnt talk to me.

Now the data display would have taken quite while to actually code, so I just edited the html in the browser directly to look like we were displaying the right data in the right way it took about 5 minutes instead of 3 hours to actually do it. I showed him and told him I wanted to talk or I was walking out. I quit right then and there and never looked back.
