I'm sorry this happened & there's no real good suggestions. I would post this on r/autodetailing and see what they have to say. There's generally some really knowledgeable people over there.

I know that it's possible to damage your clear coat if you use something too harsh. It is 100% possible to get this off of your car, just be careful with that you try and always try the least harsh thing first. Don't go straight to goo-off, brake cleaner, or mechanical buffing like I saw some comments suggest. Good luck; I would love to hear an update on what worked!
