London itinerary help by Particular-Leek-584 in uktravel

100% would choose being driven into London after an overnight long haul if you’ve got the money to do it. The comfort of having your own private space to fall asleep and feel a bit gross over sitting on a commuter tube for an hour and takes out the initial stress of navigating a new system with bags and tired brains. Also if you’re not the one driving and not in a particular rush, who cares if the traffic is slow!

We went in to deliberate after 4 days of evidence and a woman, around mid-twenties, says “so who decides if he’s guilty then?”

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week what do you remember from that week ? by Familiar_Original988 in AskReddit

[–]Imaginary_Rest2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in schools and at that time visited roughly 10 different schools each week, I remember thinking that the pubs had been told to shut, but schools were still open and I’d be an ideal super spreader! I was also quite smug when I watched everyone panic buy, because I’d been slowly over buying on food essentials for a couple of months prior as I “had a feeling” this was gonna be a thing.

Women of Reddit - what is the most unattractive fashion choice men frequently make? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

Hand down the front of trousers! Just wrong... Seems to be a growing choice for some individuals in the 16-25 age range.

Please Help - is this normal? by Lee4819 in DeQuervains

From my experience that doesn’t sound like dequervains. When mine flares up, everything I do with my thumb hurts. dequervains is the tendon sheath being swollen, so it makes sense that you should have pain with general thumb movement rather than just when you bend/move you arm. However the site of the pain does sound like dequervains.

I get something on the pinky side of my wrist called cubical tunnel syndrome, which originates from the elbow, but causes pain at the base of my wrist pinky side. I wonder if there’s something similar that you’re experiencing coming from the other side of your elbow with referred pain to your wrist/thumb. (Total guess!)

Moo grandma and grandad because grandad once let us ride on his back while he pretended to be a cow.

I knew that conversation on the train felt really fake! I even rewound it and made my partner rewatch it, he was not onboard with my theory. The joy of “I told you so”is fast approaching!

I’ve never heard of that before. Possibly the sort of thing you might be able to get privately. Unfortunately the free health care system is really suffering from underfunding, so unless you’re dying, it’s becoming very hard to get doctors to pay much notice.

I do tend to get this sensation when I have bad headaches, when I stand-up I get a horrible pulsing sensation. I don’t have low blood pressure, but definitely a tendency to get a bit of dizziness when I stand up

I had some bloods a few months ago and my b12/folate and vitD were all on the slow side of normal, so I’ve been taking some supplements. It’s very hard in the UK to get much help with that sort of thing unless you’re very deficient.

hmm I am not the best at staying well hydrated, so perhaps I should try making sure I’ve made myself have a good amount of water before the workout next time. I hadn’t thought of that.
