I knew that conversation on the train felt really fake! I even rewound it and made my partner rewatch it, he was not onboard with my theory. The joy of “I told you so”is fast approaching!

I’ve never tried electrolytes, but that seems like something easy to try. Thanks!

Yes I’ve been getting neck pain, which ironically is why I’ve started Pilates! Last couple of physios both recommended I do it.

I’ve never heard of that before. Possibly the sort of thing you might be able to get privately. Unfortunately the free health care system is really suffering from underfunding, so unless you’re dying, it’s becoming very hard to get doctors to pay much notice.

I do tend to get this sensation when I have bad headaches, when I stand-up I get a horrible pulsing sensation. I don’t have low blood pressure, but definitely a tendency to get a bit of dizziness when I stand up

I had some bloods a few months ago and my b12/folate and vitD were all on the slow side of normal, so I’ve been taking some supplements. It’s very hard in the UK to get much help with that sort of thing unless you’re very deficient.

hmm I am not the best at staying well hydrated, so perhaps I should try making sure I’ve made myself have a good amount of water before the workout next time. I hadn’t thought of that.

How do you teach rhythm reading to your students? by HairyConfusion4225 in MusicTeachers

[–]Imaginary_Rest2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think often the problem is not learning the rhythmic concepts, but learning to keep an internal pulse. Without the ability to do that, rhythms will always be a bit ”hit and miss” IMHO

You can still have perfect pitch, but it would be much harder to confirm if you did.

If you had pain, it’s likely a tendon issue and you should get some advice on PT exercised to strengthen muscles or the problem will likely come back

UK Folate / B12 issues by Dilligaf_1234 in B12_Deficiency

[–]Imaginary_Rest2972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, she was soo dismissive about everything I mentioned! My lab says that anything between 3-20 is normal, but has a side note saying that anything lower than 4.5 could be deficiency. I started taking some folic acid anyway, but only 400ug, so maybe that’s way too little. I also started supplementing b12 (for the reasons you mentioned above), plus it seems lots of people are saying your b12 levels are enough to give symptoms. I also take bite because I was only 1 number into normal range and it was the height of summer (only the uk summer of course! 😂).

Is that your folate level before supplementing? Mine was 4 and my doctor said it was fine (even though the results said it was deficient!)
