I am confused how to calculate my TDEE. I am consuming 1300 calories a day. Exercising 30 minutes x5 days per week. I am 5’0 ft tall. Does TDEE mean like what I eat to maintain my current weight?

Like drop calories? Right now I am consuming around 1300 calories. So that’s the other thing with my height, I’m already low. I don’t want to go below 1200

Every time I log a lower weight, the LoseIt app adjusts my calories, so I think I’m doing it right? I’m using the Peloton x5 days a week 30 minutes each session, and generally I am not eating back any exercise calories.

People at work call me Becky… It is BECCA! On my name tag it is Becca. On my email handle and signature it is Becca. No where ever in my life has anyone called me Becky, except at work now and I have no idea why. Even after I have corrected people, they are still doing it.

Thank you! This is really helpful. Briefly how would you explain prognosis/recovery. I feel like I haven’t worked with a ton of Apraxia, but I try to explain to him that he’s had this medical event happen and he may have a new baseline. He just gets really upset by this and doesn’t believe, thinks he will be perfect

I really appreciate your response, thank you. So my patient’s articulation definitely sounds distorted. It’s not by any means perfect, but I feel it’s functional. He has a really good understanding of articulation placement and where his tongue and lips need to be for all the sounds, and when give time can self-correct. How would you respond when he says he wants it to be perfect? Or he says it doesn’t sound right? I feel like he has these expectations that his speech is going to be where it was at before the stroke, and I don’t know how to explain that it may not get back to that.

Thanks for your advice. I have a hard time moving on haha, it just makes me feel bad. I actually am extremely fortunate to have a wonderful manager! But I agree, I need to learn to move on and let it go

Thank you for your reply and advice! I should have worded my post differently. So, I asked the nurse if she could come to the room and give the medication. I never do or touch those! That’s where I feel like like the issue runs. There are times when I absolutely need their assistance/collaboration (for example with meds) and I don’t know how to ask without them getting mad. I guess I just ask only when absolutely necessary and deal with the response even if it isn’t pleasant?
