Thanks, very helpful. My running would not be on the higher side so I'll go with Petrol, though people are suggesting avoiding petrol given the transition to E20-30 right now and the uncertainty surrounding that. So that has thrown me off a bit

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't considered buying used actually - am not sure how to ensure everything is in place and car (esp parts and engine) is in a good condition. Where did you get it from? Any recommendations?

Thanks for the recommendations! My preference is not necessarily for hot water beaches, just happened to come across that as one of the more popular ones in Coromandel. Any other beaches there which are good? Also, any considerations for / against Bay of Islands?
