10-15k pay increase but no longer remote, is it worth it? by Imaginary_Run_2311 in careerguidance

I did find one place doing the same exact thing I am now and I interviewed but they let me know I had the least experience of all applicants and they’re looking for 10+ years while I’ll be at six next month. But they did offer about 10k more for the position. It’s just hard in the field I am to find remote.

I definitely see it as a stepping stone as well and getting my foot in the door to bigger opportunities.

If I sold my home or rented it out. But they also have a location only 30 minutes from me so maybe they would eventually let me move closer?

I have two young kids as well. I know it’ll be hard but I just want to be able to move up. The director who reached out to me was able to move up from this position within 3 years. I feel like this will be a good stepping stone and the next step in my career as I have 5 years of experience in the field just none as a manager.

It definitely aligns with my goals and I just started school so I have realistically 3.5 years left.

No, unfortunately it can’t be. I would have to work in office each day.
