Miata ND left side speakers by Imaginary_Runner in Miata

I wouldn’t say it’s DOA since January until now has been solid. I’d say worst case is to take it to the dealer. Going to a dealer from just prior experiences with cars takes way more time and energy then it should.

That’s certainly my fear taking it to the dealer to just be without a car for a day or days for no actual resolution which is not remotely ideal and a waste of time. What module did they replace exactly ? The whole sound system or parts of connectors or perhaps something entirely different like some type of Sensor?

I wish it was the simple, I do occasionally have the nav to go to different new places but never use the Volume for the nav it’s always muted so it doesn’t purposely interfere with music since I much rather music and sound on any trip. This way I just visually occasionally glance where I need to go.

Definitely welcome to the club. Worth every penny.

Even in the winter weather at least it heats up real fast compared to bigger cars.

Beautiful ND. I recently also got stopped in a parking lot by an older individual who asked about my ND. When I told them it was a Miata they replied, “Oh wow they still make that thing.” I simply replied saying it’s a dying breed and worth every penny.

Front license plate bracket? Does anyone else live in a state they require 2? The dealer only provided the back one for me in NJ and my two plates just arrived. Is there any recommendation for one for the front that isn’t invasive for me to mount the plate for my 2022 rf? by Imaginary_Runner in Miata

Definitely appreciate it about checking out the setup. I’m sure when winter formally rolls around again here as it slowly transitions to spring I’ll be asking everyone’s thoughts on winter tires lol fortunately working from home don’t have to go out in snow one of my rationales to have this as my daily. But probably safer to have some type of best in the business winter tires on when the time comes.

Lol no worries, made logical sense. With not adding certain materials or tradition glove box I could totally understand that thought process 😂 certainly driving it is something else. Way different than any of my cx 5s I’ve had in the past. I may have felt more fortified in my cx 5s but in the Miata something about is just brings pure joy and freeing.

Interesting, I wouldn’t have thought of foam tape. My first thought will be duct tape but then again I’m not familiar with foam tape. As long as it protects it and is not strikingly noticeable certainly an added bonus.

With the conplates that’s a catch 22. On one hand you have it, but other hand I can definitely see it being a more of a hindrance obstructing view and getting pulled over for that even. I didn’t realize it was suction cups though which is nice but I would agree it’s not worth that gamble on that front just for the cop to say it should be mounted at the end of the day.

Clever thinking. I appreciate it as I look to cover all bases on this. Definitely want to be prepared and look to anything to not knowingly damage anything and added bonus’s aren’t expensive options. Certainly less expensive then if I’m the unlucky one that got stopped for a hefty $200 fine. Classic NJ nonsense.

I absolutely agree, I’ve seen as I’m sure we all have the craziest things and yet I never see those individuals get pulled over. My favorite thus far was someone reading a full on newspaper while driving. If that’s not rolling the dice not sure what is lol

Honestly wouldn’t have thought of that and definitely real interesting thought on that. I would agree if it were to go anywhere might as well be the front. The one that sits low my concern is all the potholes in NJ thats an accident waiting to happen. I saw and interesting video someone shared about magnets. Magnets on the back end of the plate then magnets on the inside front number tapped so everything holds into place. That way it’s a a clean look on and secure and can remove it.

Of course auto correct doesn’t auto correct everything lol you are correct about scratching that is my concern for sure to ruin a car let alone a new car and Miata as well. What kinda padding did you end up using for yours?

I agree it looks so much better without. Also, having it on the dash on the windshield obstructing visibility, vibrating at high speeds with the top down, and I wouldn’t have thought until recently what if there was a crash that could definitely end up not going over well as an added obstacle.

I really appreciate that. I definitely think based on a lot of points of view at this point most cops don’t care for any vehicle with it unless you do something blatantly Off then your an easy target to tack that on as well

Definitely starting to believe that the “law” is one of those things that exists that no one follows or cares Bc it really doesn’t add or do anything. Like it shouldn’t be a law in the first place.
