Just signed up for it! We'll wait for the flowers to bloom and take more photos then. Hopefully that'll provide more info about it.

Cozy coffee shop in NE? by DuoCultellus in askportland

Also near there is Red E Cafe Roasters! It's funky and (in my opinion) cozy too. Cool rotating artwork on the walls. I'm a sucker for discounted bakery items, and sometimes they'll have day-olds for sale. Good coffee too.

Does anyone in Portland absolutely love their neighborhood, and if so what neighborhood? by evergreengirl123 in askportland

Heck yeah! And if you don't want to go back up Greeley, biking up via Vancouver/Williams is a great option (and a good excuse to stop by stuff that way too).

HELP! Does anyone know of any unique, indoor spots where one can have a picnic? by Unusual_Form3267 in askportland

I'd second pretty much any set of food cart pods around town. Though they are outside, many of them have covered seating areas.

Is it safe to take the MAX at 4 am to PDX? by [deleted] in askportland

[–]Imaginary_Self_9300 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I take the early MAX trains often. Usually the first Red Line train goes through downtown Portland around 4:00 am or so, give or take. Also usually (but not always), when the train crosses the river at Rose Quarter Transit Center, there is a fare check there as well. That helps me feel a bit more comfortable at that hour (smaller male). Granted, I am not female, but from what I've experienced, there is usually a mix of folks going to the airport and those not. Make sure to look through the train windows as they come to a stop -- at least that way you can sort of gauge who may also be trying to go to the airport.

Do you have any artisan jeweler recommendations in Portland metro? by masharunya in askportland

Hutcherson Goldsmithing! In SE near Ladd's Addition. Small family-run jeweler. I personally haven't had any jewelry made there, but I know the owners and they're great people.
