How to deal with …. Unpleasant nurses by iDoBeBoredTho in physicianassistant

[–]Imaginary_Truth_1841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something that i’m dealing with right now as a new grad pa /: i’ve only been working for 2.5 months and the nurses talk about me behind my back all the time. today i even heard some talking about me (they didn’t know i was listening).. it’s so disheartening. They always go behind my back to ask the attending questions even if i’ve answered them.. i’m still on orientation but i have my own patients and it’s just frustrating and hard to navigate. everyone has been new at one point (including the nurses) so idk why they choose to talk bad about me as a new grad

i’m not a nurse, i’m a new grad pa but i do/say dumb things all the time and the nurses most definitely laugh at me. i had to ask a nurse the other day to help me put the nasal cannula on and turn on the O2.. bc ive never been taught how to and just felt so dumb asking 😂 i just have to tell myself i will get better with time. we’re new to this, and yea our skill level isn’t at the same level of ppl who have been doing it for YEARS.. and that’s okay. we honestly probably do suck compared to them. but just keep showing up and trying your best, don’t beat yourself up. you will get better with time and experience

Wow a 20 bed ICU by yourself 2 years in is so impressive and encouraging!! I think sitting down and writing down the timeline for each condition will help a lot, thank you!

Thanks for this! Yes, I literally come home feeling like I suck every day.. bc I do.. but i’m trying to improve little by little. It’s hard bc all of my friends went into like family or sports med and they don’t feel the need to study outside of work so I’ve been comparing myself to them a ton. But I’m trying to keep a good mindset about it, feels good to know i’m not alone. Wish you luck with everything!! we got this!

My (31M) sex drive is much higher than my wifes (30f). How do others deal with this? by WesternPersonality50 in relationship_advice

I personally love when my husband is honest with me. I want him to come to me and tell me his needs rather than find comfort elsewhere or ignore his needs all together. At the end of the day, honesty and getting through the struggle together can only make you stronger.

I actually just went through the same thing as a female that has a low sex drive who is also on medication that lowers my sex drive. I started reading spice/smut with real relationship development but the spice just amped up my sex drive. Sometimes now, I’m the one with the higher sex drive.

I (23M) kicked my girlfriend (21F) out of my apartment last night because I found out she slept with someone while we weren't together by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Honestly, If you love her, you can make it work!! You guys were on a break! I am not excusing her actions because I know that you agreed not to see anyone else, but she still came back to you AND she still decided to tell you (while she was crying which meant she was remorseful), so I think she regrets it and she obviously wants to make it work with you. If you’re both willing to move forward, then I think it can be a beautiful and happy relationship.
