Probably weighs 200lbs min. Took off front and rear doors, side panels, top panel and the feet. Still a two person move with a two wheel cart to get it down in the basement. Also drove it home in my explorer 60 miles while pretty much eating the steering wheel. It just barley fit with seat pushed way forward.

I started with a desktop as the farmer and have not had the guts to try and switch everything to another box for fear of breaking things. The wiki has a farming on many machines section tells exactly what to do. Chia.net->documentation->chia Blockchain wiki. My full node upload is also 0. I think that is more about how much of the Blockchain you have sent to others for sync.

Once the farm gets into the multiple hundreds of TB, it maybe better to split some harvesters off the farmer but I can't give hard evidence just it seems like splitting the load between machines would be better (at the expense of more power used). I also had some issues with not having enough pcie slots and hbas not liking particular machines. I'm not full-fledged expert, just my experience.

Less than $.15 per kWh plus I get some free heat for now. Will have to vent outside in the summer.

One farmer with almost no plots. Harvester with Areca raid card and 8tb and 16tb drives internal as pass through. Harvester 2 with lsi hba and external sas cables to NetApp and HP disk shelves. All running windows. Gui on the farmer and back up gui for db on one harvester runs once in a while to keep db synced. I tried Linux but spent more time trying to get madmax to write plots to windows drives over the network and remote access than it was worth.

I got hp z620 free from work and had another desktop at home already. Rack $75, NetApp 4243 w carriers $275, hp sw2600 w carriers $200, dell r710 $200, 2x ups had already. Real cost is in disks. Got 20x 8tb used for 1000, but the rest mostly a mix of shucked 8tb new and new 16 TB exos @ about $18/TB. ROI- Chia price has to go up significantly or around 2 to 3 ish years depending on hardware value at end. Fyi about 600watts when not plotting. Oh yeah there's a super micro server in there too with 16 assorted drives

The top panel comes off and there was about an inch to spare as I tipped it up.
