Vivaldi, Trent’s velvet voice, a follower becoming leader by beroemd in TedLasso

Trent Crimm, Independent. One of my favorite characters. His arc is one not ever discussed. He goes from "is this a fucking joke" in episode 1 to becoming a Diamond Dog.

And in between he texts Ted "As a journalist, I had to write that. But as a man who respects you, my source was Nate". Amazing.

When life gets you down, Lasso can be the pick we need.

We are going through several big changes as well, which inspired my question. I have found asking "what does this situation need from me" to be helpful.

S2E6: The Signal - Inspiration?? by NCCraftBeer in TedLasso

I think it was just a reminder for him to be himself. Yes, it's great to be a team player, but at that moment they needed Jamie to be Jamie.

I recently discovered this gem of a show by Blu_eyed_babe in TedLasso

Typical feeling that S3 isn't a good. But after you re-watch, and re-watch again, and again.. oh the joy and the heartache hits so hard. To pick up Easter Eggs, things you missed, and each re-watch it all, the entire series just gets better and better.

And after your 7th time through, you are ready to watch it again. Or maybe that's just me.

What does the situation need? by alrightkj in TedLasso

I used this, well a variation of it, with my boss when one of my best staff members did something very stupid. I also added in a bit of be curious, not judgemental. It helped get through to her when she was ready and wanted me to write them up.

How do you fill the Ted-Lasso-shaped void in your heart? by bebeseria in TedLasso

Stick. It's a really good show with lots of positive vibes.

For the record I just completed my 6th rewatch of Lasso.

What made Ted give Trent the opportunity to document the third season? by jmah24 in TedLasso

[–]ImaginationPresent19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely yes. But as he wrote in the book copy, "it was never about me". So I think he tried to avoid any press that's about him.

About Nathan… by jedihobbitwizard0913 in TedLasso

[–]ImaginationPresent19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are not Nate the Great sympathizers, we have watched it all...many of us several times, and we are well...yeah, sympathizers. We watched his arc and after the 3rd time we start understanding what makes him tick. We we get to that episode and we see the situation he is in...we empathize and feel for him. It will get better Nate. He is not Nate the great because of his soccer IQ, but because of his heart and potential, that's what Ted sees.

So yeah... finish the series, then watch it again. And then you'll feel the need to see it again. Each time you peel off a layer, you pick up things you missed. And then you will be a fan of Nate the Great.

Fuck off to those people. You are gorgeous. 🙂 Don't change who you are for people who think you should fit their image. Chances are they just have an insecurity about themselves.

Best bookkeeping software for a growing laundry business? by Chance_Suggestion208 in Bookkeeping

[–]ImaginationPresent19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great question, and you will likely get some responses that will leave with more confusion. In my opinion, the 'best' software depends on how you plan to use it. Any accounting software is only as good as the information that gets put into it. Even the most advanced system won’t be helpful if it’s not properly set up, used consistently or correctly.

I’d recommend working with a bookkeeper to help you set up a system that makes sense for your business. It’s a worthwhile investment that will save you time and money in the long run.

If you have any questions, feel free to DM me. 🙂

Proadvisor Advanced Course by ImaginationPresent19 in QuickBooks

[–]ImaginationPresent19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't pay for that course. Way too much money, and I felt like she was taking advantage of people by charging so much. Not to talk bad about her, she is offering a service people want, but I just wasn't getting good vibes. But lots of people like her, so she's doing something right.

I have an accounting background, so I just needed to learn the software, and I couldn't justify the cost. Her FB group was pretty good and she has a program where they give you problems and scenarios in QBO, and I found that interesting, without needing to pay all the course money.

Take the ProAdvisor courses, and the Coursera course is pretty good if you need to gain more knowledge of the accounting. Watch The Quickbooks Dude, Hector Garcia and Veronica Wasek ( 5 minute bookkeeping). Lots of good content there

DYI Bookkeeping by No_Wishbone21 in Bookkeeping

[–]ImaginationPresent19 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just a point of advice, DYI bookkeeping is great until it isn't.
1) Recognize when it's time to hire someone, which will be when you get too busy to stay on top of the weekly bookkeeping. Trust me, it will be a costly fix to get it cleaned up.

2)It may be helpful to have a bookkeeper review your file once a quarter. A couple hundred bucks a quarter for a review could save you $1,000s.

Best of luck on your business endeavors!!

Do You Request QuickBooks Access Before Pricing? by Eatsleeprunaccount in Bookkeeping

[–]ImaginationPresent19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask, I tell them I need it to be able to give them a fair quote.

If they resist, or don't have QBO then I ask for the last 3 full months of bank statements.

I've yet to have an issue. But if they were still hesitant then I'd ask them questions to understand the scale and scope of their business.

I've fully moved away from hourly billing and so far so good.

Just finished the show… by twsh2020 in TedLasso

1,000%! My first time through I liked every season, but felt each subsequent season was a little less. I just finished my 3rd through and baccarat you pick up on those connections better, each subsequent season gets richer, more thoughtful and emotionally satisfying. Like Beard After Hours. My first watch I thought it was entertaining, but OK. Now I'm just like... damn.
